In Havguard AS we use artificial intelligence to make our underwater communication system auto-adaptive to environmental conditions, designed to reduce:
 
- energy consumption
- emission power
- time the fauna is exposed to communication signals
- usage of frequency bands used by animals to limit disturbance
- usage of sound and light in communication, and more usage of the magnetic field

Our team is inspired by our love and care for animals, and based on that we found ways to reduce human impact on nature, simultaneously increasing the quality of service. 

The Orca inspired us because it has a highly complex and yet efficient way of communicating. Their communication signals are using a complex modulation scheme and is adaptable for short and long distances. It's a discrete and interesting animal 🐋

Our technology was developed based on our core values, and the same values motivates us to believe we have a role to play in developing the next generation #underwater technology 🌊

Welcome to my profile 🇳🇴

I'm Emilie, a Norwegian entrepreneur and CEO of the deeptech company Havguard AS. 

The world-class expertise in Havguard has spent 14 years of work solving problems in underwater communication and sensing. This has resulted in new and revolutionary technology beyond the state of the art. Since the start of our company in January 23 we have had quite a journey; for instance we were a scouted company for the 401 Tech Bridge/ NavalX cohort BlueTIDE, on panel of disruptive technologies in NATO HQ for the Digital Ocean, venture in the selected CDL Atlantic Ocean program and last but not least a company in the Masschallange BlueTech program. 

My background (PhD.c) is from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), as well as the Nordic program for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (Karolinska Institutet, University of Oslo, University of Copenhagen, and NTNU). I have two abroad courses (Kings College of Applied Security Studies): one in “AI for national security” and another one in “Wargaming and Strategy”.

- Established a business relation with a major Microsoft CRM partner to provide additional CRM functionalities and solutions for specific markets such as insurance, banking and real estate.

Joined GTS, Oracle & Microsoft partner, and contributed in the growth of its newly established Microsoft Business Solution division and was responsible for the direct communication with Microsoft Lebanon. 

Duties:
- Developing the sales of Microsoft Dynamics business solution family (AX, NAV, GP, CRM and RMS) as well as Oracle J.D. Edwards and Oracle Database. 
- Analyzing and segmenting the Lebanese market. 
- Managed Building solution verticals targeting market niche.

Achievements:
- Helped establishing a strong pipeline for GTS in the business lines of banking, insurance, construction and manufacturing within the Lebanese market

- Studying and analyzing new markets for possible penetration.
- Conducting high level business assessments and preparing related presentations and documents.

Achievements: 
- Contributed to the development of the Mobile Sales solution developed by IMS and fully integrated with        MS Dynamics GP.
- Prepared and conducted multiple seminars targeting the financial and pharmaceutical sector.
- Built a complete business and marketing strategy to promote and sell Maximo advanced asset management solution from IBM for the financial, oil, and energy sectors.

Sales Executive

In collaboration with the CEO and COO, I established the hardware department to manage Lunasat international supplier base and Lunasat main warehouses (Lebanon, Iraq and Dubai). 

Duties:
- Managing suppliers and negotiating business contracts and agreements
- Handling Sales Department requests 
- Responding to RFPs and tenders
- Advising on forthcoming VSAT and Telecom product developments
- Handling the shipment and delivery of hardware

Achievements:
- Fully established the business process of purchasing, delivery and receiving of products
- Introduced the company to new African markets (Nigeria, Uganda)

Hardware Department Manager

Duties:
- Contacting and searching clients in Africa and the Middle East (mainly Iraq).
- Developing and maintaining relationships with customers.
- Negotiating agreements and closing sales.

Achievements:
- Became the top producer within the sales department
