Your words are the most powerful leadership tool you have.
They can be the water that helps them grow, or the poison that demoralizes them.

Here are 4 ways to use your words to unlock your team’s potential:

1️⃣ See their future self, not just their current role.
↳ Treat people as they can be, not just as they are. 
↳ This helps them become their potential selves.

🤔 Coaching Question: If your team member were already the best version of their professional self, what one new responsibility would you trust them with today?

2️⃣ Stop motivating. Start removing obstacles.
↳ The most effective managers focus on not demotivating their people. 
↳ Your main job is to remove the things that crush their drive.

🤔 Coaching Question: What is the "pebble in the shoe" of your team that you have the power to remove?

3️⃣ To be a great leader, be a great listener.
↳ Being heard is invaluable. 
↳ Offering it to your team is the fastest way to build trust.

🤔 Coaching Question: In your last conversation, did you spend more time formulating your response or understanding theirs?

4️⃣ Don't provide the answers. Draw out their intelligence.
↳ Leadership is about drawing out the intelligence of others, not demonstrating your own.

Your biggest dream feels impossible.
It's not. It's just a project that hasn't been planned yet.

This isn't magic. 

As Napoleon Hill said, "Whatever Your Mind Can Conceive and Believe, It Can Achieve.”

Here are 5 principles of a practical dreamer:

1️⃣ Believe It Before You See It.
↳ Your mind must create a clear and compelling future reality before you can build it in the real world.
🤔 Coaching Question: If you had a magic wand and could create your ideal career with 100% certainty of success, what would it look like in vivid detail?

2️⃣ Attract Success, Don't Chase It.
↳ You attract success by who you become, not by what you chase. Focus on your own growth, and opportunities will come to you.
🤔 Coaching Question: What kind of person would you have to become to make your biggest goals inevitable?

3️⃣ Win the Decade, Not Just the Year.
↳ We overestimate what we can do in a year, but drastically underestimate what we can do in ten. True vision is measured in decades.
🤔 Coaching Question: If you were planning your career for a decade instead of this quarter, what is the one thing you would start doing differently today?

4️⃣ Do Less to Achieve More.
↳ The key to making progress on what truly matters is not to add more tasks, but to subtract the ones that don't.

5️⃣ Close the Knowing-Doing Gap.
↳ Knowledge is useless without action. The only thing that creates results is execution.

Visualize it. Believe it. Build it.

There are two types of high performers: bridge builders and bridge burners.
Only one of them has a sustainable career.

We've all seen both in our careers.

The bridge burner who leaves a trail of damaged relationships in their way.

The bridge builder who makes everyone around them better.

One has a short-term winning streak. 
The other builds a long-term career.

Here’s how bridge builders build differently:

1️⃣They start with the end in mind
↳ "What are we trying to do?"
↳ Focus on the essentials 
👉“They help us recenter on the important.”

2️⃣ They listen to understand, not to respond 
↳ "What led you to this conclusion?"
↳ It's not who's right. It's who's got the best solution.
👉“They bring out the best options from stakeholders.”

3️⃣ They create deep relations
↳ Share knowledge freely
↳ Celebrate others' wins like your own
👉"They succeed by helping others succeed."

4️⃣ They grow during crises
↳ Lower your voice when others raise theirs.
↳ Focus on solutions, not blame.
👉"They're the calm in the storm."

5️⃣ They energize the room
↳ Bring solutions, not complaints
↳ Lift others when things get tough
👉"Meetings are better when they're there"

6️⃣ They own their mistakes
↳ No excuses, just solutions.
↳ Don't pass blame; take charge.
👉"They build trust through honesty."

7️⃣ They're reliable
↳ Say yes cautiously.
↳ But when you do, overdeliver.  
👉"If they said they'll do it, it's done."

8️⃣ They follow through
↳ Don't stop at identifying problems
↳ Follow through until it's solved
👉"They always find a way"

Your results prove you're a high performer. 
Your relationships prove you're a leader.
