95% of you should not be touching Claude Code.

I don't care what everyone on LinkedIn is hyping right now.

It's a complete waste of your time.

Stop letting people convince you that they replaced an enterprise level tool in just a few prompts.

Just pay for the subscription and get back to work on things that actually matter.

The Top 10 Lies About Cold Email That People Believe

(This will upset a lot of people)

After sending millions of emails across multiple industries, with multiple offers, I've heard every "expert" opinion about what works.

To be honest, there are some REALLY good experts out there.

However, most of what I hear is complete garbage.

Here are the 10 biggest lies about cold email that keep businesses from generating consistent pipeline:


1. "High open rates mean your campaign is working"

Reality: Open rates are meaningless vanity metrics that actually DAMAGE deliverability through tracking pixels. Focus on reply rates instead.


2. "More emails = more meetings"

Reality: We've generated 3X more meetings by sending FEWER emails to better-targeted prospects. If you have a BAD offer and BAD targeting, more emails WILL NOT book more meetings.


3. "You need to be clever and creative"

Reality: The highest-converting emails are simple, direct, and focused on specific pain points. Creativity often backfires.


4. "Cold email works for everyone"

Reality: Without a clear ICP that feels acute pain from the problem you solve, you're wasting your time. Some offerings simply aren't suited for cold email.


5. "Longer sequences perform better"

Reality: Our data shows 90% of responses come from the first 2 touch points. Adding multiple follow-ups often damages deliverability and creates negative brand perception.


6. "AI can write better than humans"

Reality: AI excels at research and basic templates, but the highest-converting campaigns still require human strategy and industry expertise.

9. "You need to personalize every email"

Reality: I have seen BANGER offers that are extremely relevant to who you're targeting drastically outperform emails that have heavy "personalization" in them.


10. "Private SMTP performs just as well as Google/Outlook"

Reality: I have NEVER seen private SMTP outperform Google/Outlook by ANY means. From ANY provider, EVER. 


Systems over hustle. Data over opinions. Results over theory.

What cold email "best practice" have you discovered is actually hurting your performance?

You should be building out banger lead magnets.

These lead magnets should be attached to every cold email.

Why?

Because they break through the noise of what everyone else is doing.

They build trust.

They break down walls.

They provide value.

Ruthless Analysis:

→ Classify replies by intent.
→ Measure the real path:

Sacrifice-heavy.

This is what moves the needle.

Are you optimizing for how it feels or how it converts?

When I evaluate outbound, I think in four layers.

And I never hesitate to invest in Layer 1

Because Layer 1 determines whether anything else matters.


Layer 1 → Infrastructure

• Deliverability
• Account integrity
• Inbox placement
• Reputation

If this layer is weak, everything above it becomes unstable.
Infrastructure is binary. It works or it doesn’t.


Layer 2 → Strategy

• Who we target
• Why them
• Why now
• What angle we lead with

Vague positioning leads to vague responses.


Layer 3 → Execution

• List building
• Data validation
• Sequencing logic
• Tool configuration

Execution amplifies what’s underneath it.


Layer 4 → Deployment

• Speed.
• Adjustment.
• Responsiveness.

Deployment determines how fast you correct mistakes.


Most outbound problems start in Layer 1. 

We don’t optimize for cheap.
We optimize for deliverability.

We use:
→ Real Google accounts through Zapmail.ai
→ Reputable domain registrars
→ EmailBison for sequencing

Saving money upfront usually costs you campaigns later.

Burned domains.
Flagged accounts.
