I’ll never forget the day I got the nod from my angel investor.

Series A funding.

For my FIRST business.

I should’ve been celebrating.

But you know what I actually felt?

Terror.

Because this wasn’t just a cheque.

This was someone betting real money on ME.

On an idea I’d been carrying quietly for YEARS.

And suddenly, someone else saw it too.

I sat in my car after that meeting and cried.

Not because I was happy (though I was).

But because for the first time, I truly believed:

I can build something bigger than myself.

I can sit at the table, not just serve it.

I can raise capital, lead teams, and drive IMPACT.

That day, I became a founder.

Not because I had all the answers.

But because I stopped waiting for permission to believe in myself.

I work with high-performing executives who look successful from the outside but internally feel stretched, wired, and quietly exhausted.



Before stepping into executive coaching, I spent nine years in luxury retail leadership. Management by 28. 

High income. Strong results. Externally successful.



Internally? Running on stress.





I wasn’t failing.
I was functioning.


And that was the problem.





Like many high performers, I had normalized:


→ Chronic pressure
→ Irritability and detachment
→ High output, low fulfillment
→ Anxiety masked as ambition



What I eventually learned is this:



Burnout is not a motivation problem.


It’s not a discipline problem.


It’s a nervous system problem.





When your body is stuck in chronic fight-or-flight, productivity strategies stop working. 



You can push harder... but you cannot sustainably expand capacity.



That realization sent me into deep study of:
→ Nervous system regulation
→ Stress physiology
→ Somatic practices
→ Sustainable performance frameworks
→ High-capacity leadership models



As I rebuilt my internal regulation, everything changed:


→ My performance increased without force
→ My leadership presence strengthened
→ My relationships improved
→  My energy stabilized
→ I stopped living in constant overdrive





I didn’t abandon ambition.


I built the capacity to hold it.





Now I work with executives, founders, and growth-stage leaders who want to:



→ Recover from burnout without stepping away from their careers
→ Increase performance without sacrificing their health

“I just don’t have time to look after me right now.”

You wouldn’t believe how many times I hear this from executives.


And here’s the harsh truth I always have to tell them:

You don’t "find" time for yourself because you’ve already given it all away.


Every urgent email, every meeting, every “I’ll sleep later” moment chips away at your energy, focus, and clarity.


And here’s the kicker: the more you ignore yourself, the less effective you actually are.



Leaders think: “If I push harder, I’ll get more done.”

But what actually happens is:

→ Decisions get clouded
→ Communication becomes reactive
→ Relationships fray
→ Burnout quietly grows

And yet, the instinct is always the same: fix the schedule, fix the team, fix the problem... but rarely fix yourself.


Here’s what most executives don’t realize:

Regulating yourself isn’t optional. It’s leverage.


When you take even small, intentional moments to reset, you:

→ Think clearer under pressure
→ Make decisions faster and better
→ Show up calmer in every interaction
→ Inspire your team through presence, not just performance


Looking after yourself isn’t indulgence. It’s leadership.

I used to think I had to be "on” all the time in order to do my job well.

→ Have a full day of productivity and not feel wired or exhausted.

→ Close their laptop and actually be done for the night.

→ Be present with the people they care about instead of mentally solving tomorrow.

so most leaders assume this constant tension is just the cost of responsibility.

But it’s not. 


It’s a nervous system pattern that’s been running on repeat.
