Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Haiku Inc

As the CEO of Haiku Inc, I am passionate about creating innovative and engaging games that teach real-world cybersecurity skills and connect players to career opportunities. With over 20 years of experience as a serial entrepreneur and investor in the cybersecurity and technology sectors, I have founded and led multiple successful startups, such as Sentek Global, a leading provider of government and commercial cybersecurity solutions, and the San Diego Cyber Center of Excellence, a nonprofit organization that fosters the growth and development of the cybersecurity ecosystem in the region.

I leverage my diverse background and expertise in gaming, cybersecurity, business development, public speaking, government contracting, and military special operations to build and scale high-performance teams, create value from ideas, and solve complex problems. As a former SEAL officer in the U.S. Navy, I have a strong sense of mission, leadership, and resilience, and I aim to inspire and empower others to achieve their full potential. I am also an active member of the board of directors and advisor to several organizations that support law enforcement, military veterans, and education, such as the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Foundation, the Veteran Fund, and Saved In America.

Founder and member of the Board of Directors, responsible for the standup, oversight, and management of the non-profit. The San Diego CCOE is dedicated to making the greater San Diego region into a Cyber Security Center of Excellence, resulting in an increase in jobs, talent, and capital in the cyber security vertical to the region.

I received my early order of GTG energy pouches, a company started by my buddy Joshua Gunderson.  When Josh first described the product to me as a natural substitute for folks who used to use dip (chewing tobacco), I thought that it wasn’t really a product for me since I never dipped (one of the minority in the SEAL Teams who didn’t).  However, with my passion for flying GA planes long distances and the limitations on my bladder, I found these work great for giving me extra energy without requiring more frequent bathroom breaks.  They also aren’t as harsh as coffee on my stomach as I get older.  I’ve been impressed with Josh as I’ve watched his entrepreneurial journey and I’m even more impressed with his product.
