The A.B Freeman School of Business strives to inspire, engage, and enable students, organizations, and our global business community to contribute to human achievement and prosperity. Freeman Study Abroad & Exchange works to maximize international partnerships to provide Tulane and exchange students the opportunity to gain the skills, experience, and, network necessary to thrive in their professional careers.

As a Senior Program Coordinator, I was jointly responsible for the planning and implementation of undergraduate international programs for the Freeman School of Business. This included:
• Soliciting new exchange partner programs
• Advising students before, during, and after their participation using Salesforce CRM
• Managing the selection and placement of students in our programs
• Ensuring the quality of international educational experience for Freeman and exchange students 


I actively participated in industry professional organizations, constantly benchmarked and refined our processes, and participated in strategic planning and design of international education programs that further assisted students in maximizing their international education endeavors.

To increase student participation I guided external activities including outreach, recruiting, social media, and other marketing activities. I also founded a student leadership organization called the Global Guides that is composed of motivated and passionate study abroad returnees and exchange students that strive to create a vibrant, globally aware community in the business school. Additionally, I developed, implemented, and refined info sessions, pre-departure and re-entry activities to continuously improve student preparation for their experience abroad as well as enhance the integration of their international experiences. 

I also provided guidance and assistance to incoming double degree students by planning schedules, recommending courses, and determining appropriate education solutions for them.

Colegio Costa Cordillera

Colegio Costa Cordillera (CCC) is a PreK-12 private school founded in 2018 with the mission to develop intellectual tools, social skills, and behavioral values in its students by connecting academic curriculum with innovative athletic and healthy living programming.

As the Sports Director I was responsible for managing the Sports and Healthy Living Department. I led a team of 6 full-time Physical Education teachers and 4 part-time after-school academy coaches. As a brand-new school, I developed protocols and procedures for the after-school academies and uses of the sports facilities which included a large and small turf field, gymnasium, two covered outdoor play areas, locker rooms, and eventually a pool. In fulfillment of the school’s mission, I worked with teachers and their academic coordinators at each level to incorporate sports and healthy living into their curriculum. All 300+ students were required to participate in at least one sports academy after courses finished so I coordinated the registration and medical evaluation process as well as recruited, interviewed, hired, and managed coaches to administer these academies. Lastly, I planned and implemented school-wide festivals, guest lectures, workshops, presentations, and tournaments for the CCC community. Unfortunately, CCC never provided me with the long-term Chilean work visa as agreed upon in the contract so I could no longer continue once my temporary work authorization expired.

EF Education First

EF is a global leader in language education. In my classes I combined English language training with cultural exchange and service-learning opportunities.

During my time at EF San Diego, I developed and executed lessons in marketing, TOEFL exam preparation, and general English for students from around the world between the ages of 13 and 73. I also taught an intensive course preparing students for the highest level Cambridge qualification, the C2 Proficiency. I provided individualized feedback, reports, and learning strategies to students on a monthly basis. I also transformed the dreaded Culture Series from a large group lecture into an engaging and interactive presentation for 60-200 students by including games, quizzes, and sports.

King Faisal University

King Faisal University was established in 1975 in the largest date palm oasis in the world. The Preparatory Year Deanship (PYD) aims to strengthen English and studying skills so that students can be creative, competent, and collaborative in both their academic careers and in the wider community.

I taught students in the PYD program at the beginner and intermediate levels. This involved developing and implementing engaging lesson plans to complement assigned book materials, assessing assignments, and cultivating action plans for students to meet program expectations and their goals. In addition to the classroom work, I also held office hours to further assist students as well as maintained daily performance and attendance data to compile in weekly and term reports.

Teach and Learn with Georgia

Teach and Learn with Georgia (TLG) is a progressive education movement initiated by the Georgian government and administered under the Georgian Ministry of Education and Science. English teachers work with local teachers in public schools throughout the country of Georgia to improve students' English proficiency with the hopes of Georgia's further participation in the global community.
 
I was assigned to a small rural school in the village of Tkhinvali (pop. 700) where I taught students between the ages of 6-18 by adapting lessons to improve student production of English language especially in speaking. I also mentored local teachers on ways to incorporate active and engaging lesson activities by demonstrating how lesson plans can determine how much students learn and retain. I completed monthly reports regarding educational and personal observations for the Ministry of Education and Science.

BBE Languages is based in Bogota and its mission is to empower professionals in Latin America by transforming their way of learning, communicating and growing in a global world.

My role as a Business English Instructor was to teach a variety of adult students ranging in level from absolute beginner to advanced in companies throughout Bogota. This individualized courses were facilitated in both home and office environments depending on client requirements. Primary goals of the client were used to generate effective and engaging lesson plans to reach objectives. At the end of each month, I compiled detailed  reports of all four language skills for each student.

CH Robinson is a Fortune 500 company and one of the world's largest logistics platforms. Founded in 1905, the company has grown its portfolio of businesses, but the core areas are third party logistics and supply chain management.

I managed customer accounts of all sizes, analyzed data, and leveraged client knowledge to provide custom solutions and also solicited new accounts through referrals, networking, cold calls and high level proposals. When working with key accounts, I created, maintained and executed on a detailed SOP to ensure consistency and conducted semiannual formal business reviews to evaluate our partnerships. I also negotiated tariffs and service requirements with carriers for domestic and international transport. I led multiple committees which drafted annual business plans, strategies, and budgets using data gathered monthly. We recommended SMART goals to track key benchmarks at the branch-level and I collaborated in the process of developing long and short-term SMART goals for my individual performance. I received the Employee of the Year award in 2010 for my outstanding performance in new customer accounts and tariff negotiation.

The International Student Center (ISC) advances San Diego State University as a global learning community by serving as a crossroads for students from around the world seeking educational opportunities at SDSU, and for SDSU students seeking educational opportunities in other countries.

As a student assistant recently returned from studying abroad in Japan, I primarily worked at the front desk resolving students’ concerns and questions regarding the international student experience at SDSU or referring to the appropriate staff member. I also facilitated immigration and work permission application process for international students on F-1 and J-1 visas. We were also the first stop for many study abroad students, so I assisted them in getting started with the application process.

Dependable Distribution Center is part of the Dependable Supply Chain Services, a full-services logistics provider offering warehousing, distribution, FTL and LTL transportation, 3PL, and more.
 
I was responsible for the integrity of the inventory for multiple large accounts. I processed incoming shipments, filled purchase orders, and managed warehouse inventory using the Accuplus Logistics System. A key responsibility was to verify the inventory during quarterly audits. I established a new inventory method to increase the accuracy and timeliness of shipments while increasing the reliability of  records.
