• Served as the mathematics content Subject Matter Expert (SME) on a cross-functional Scrum team of engineers, game designers, product owners, animators, and QA testers responsible for producing mathematical game prototypes using Agile methodologies and Project Management software such as Jira, Smartsheet, and Confluence
• Reviewed mathematical activities for developmental appropriateness and instructional integrity

Curriculum Specialist- Mathematics, Pre-K - 2nd Grade

Planned and designed engaging eLearning opportunities for 20 learners per year that aligned with the state of Texas’ educational standards using EdTech tools (Pear Deck, Blooket) and conducted live, synchronous sessions each day on Zoom. 

• Designed high quality virtual curriculum that increased student engagement by 66% in nine months and improved listening and response skills in 18 learners
• Developed curriculum-based assessments to monitor student progress every nine weeks, resulting in an increase in academic proficiency in math from 61% to 92% by modifying the curriculum to meet the needs of individual learners
• Utilized small group instruction focused on targeted academic skills by differentiating classroom instruction in math and language arts, resulting in 95% of learners (18 students) making academic growth
• Implemented The Science of Reading literacy-based instruction principles into daily language arts instruction, resulting in 82% of students (18 learners) reading on grade level and improving reading fluency and comprehension skills
• Analyzed norm-referenced math assessment (MAP Growth) data to drive instruction, which improved student achievement in 89% of learners (17 students)

• Collaborated with peer educators in Professional Learning Community (PLC) meetings to create curriculum and assessments, analyze data, and discuss teaching practices that increased math and language arts instruction for 100+ learners each year
• Served as the math teacher leader; represented 40+ peers in district-wide monthly meetings and partnered with math curriculum specialists to design, enhance, and modify the curriculum
