Calco

Calco is a Dutch IT company which specialises in the training and secondment of IT professionals. The Calco MasterClass is a 2 year trainee programme during which ‘high potentials’ amongst recent graduates are prepared for a position in the IT sector. This traineeship is unique, for it is competency-based; it is open to candidates who are ambitious, possess analytical and communicative skills and who do not necessarily have an IT background, but have completed a university or applied university degree.
During this 2 year programme I am offered in-depth specialist training for the first two months, subsequently leading to a challenging position with one of Calco’s client companies for the remaining 22 months. The first month of training consists of acquiring general IT knowledge. During the second month I will follow a specialisation course, which could be (but is not limited to) any of the following: information analyst, programmer, tester or junior project manager. After successfully completing all modules I am ready to put theory into practice at one of Calco’s prestigious client companies, which operate in a number of sectors such as banking and insurance, health care and industry. During these 22 months at a client company I will receive continuous coaching from my designated Calco field manager.
After successfully completing the entire trajectory I will be given the chance to fully transfer to the client company, making the Calco MasterClass the ideal kick start to my career.

Bij NN ben ik onderdeel van het (Cyber) Risk & Security Team van Pension Services, Business Unit Leven. Samen met het team ben ik verantwoordelijk voor het veilig houden van de applicaties en de data van Pension Services. 
Dat doe ik door het verbinden van de DevOps teams, de interne Risk Auditors, IT Security, Data Privacy Officers en Business Owners. Door goede samenwerking te faciliteren ontstaat er snel en goed resultaat.

Daarnaast heb ik met 3 anderen de Innovation Day voor Pension Services en Pension New Business georganiseerd en begeleiden wij de twee meest innovatieve teams van die dag bij de verdere uitwerking van hun ideeën.

Bij PostNL Communicatie Services BV was ik onderdeel van het klant implementatie- en migratieteam. Daarbij was ik verantwoordelijk voor het migreren van klanten van oude systemen (Genius en SDP) naar een nieuw systeem (Customer Communication Platform). In dit systeem hielp ik grootzakelijke klanten bij het maken en versturen van sms'jes, mails, facturen of brieven naar hun klanten. Hierbij wordt veel gebruik gemaakt van Canon Inspire Designer en GMC Inspire Interactive.

My Naventure traineeship year at Navigators consists of getting personal training in leadership, character-building, communication, self-awareness and faith. These trainings are combined with local staff work in Rotterdam like coaching and mentoring student leaders, writing and presenting study material among students and organizing Christian events. Next to that I will work on the mission and vision of the Netwerk community nationwide. In addition, I will do fundraising to have an income. Because this work is unpaid I will live on gifts from monthly supporters.

Responsible for the Warehouse Tech teams (±100 FTE), focussing on warehouse automation and supporting day-to-day warehouse operations. My teams automate warehouse processes, write and integrate software to support this and maintain the current software, hardware and building facilities.
