One of my closest people here in Valencia is moving away today.

I've shared a flat with Mikey for almost 2.5 years.
He's been more than a flatmate - family.

When you build a life abroad, the people around you become your family.
The ones who see the grind, the bad days, the good days, the rebuilding.

He’s been there through all of it.
Always supportive. Always solid.

He had his going away party at our mutual friend's bar on Saturday,
which was a concert he was giving (he's sick on the guitar and singing)

Very unexpected, he pulled me up to the stage to sing a song we wrote together, with him.

His family, my "extra-family", was there as well.
And it was a great night, ended with burgers (of course).

Grateful for the time, the laughs and the memories.
He's moving across the country for a new job. On to the next chapter.
