I achieved the 4-hour work week by Tim Ferris before there was a 4-hour work week by Tim Ferris.

I set out to achieve it in 2003, despite everyone telling me it could not be done. 

And there I was, a 23-year-old enjoying the entrepreneurial genes I had inherited from my serial entrepreneur father, building out what I'd later learn was a CPaaS ("communication platform as a service").

For most entrepreneurs, the first 9 businesses fail and the 10th succeeds. But for me, it was that first one which succeeded (and ran strong for 21 years)!

1 - Because my 4-hour work week freed me to pursue other things.

It started as digital consulting. 

But after immersing myself in the E-Myth framework and mastering it, I became a management consultant, public speaker and workshop facilitator.

I joined companies as a trusted advisor and/or Non-Executive Director, helping businesses of varying sizes and complexities to overcome their challenges and maximize their potential.

For an LNG giant, owning dispatchable generation is not just “nice to have”; it is the key to turning optionality into durable advantage. As Patrick Pouyanné himself underlined,this is about fully capitalizing on gas-to-power integration and creating added value along the LNG chain, independent of the oil cycle.

This is exactly what I’ve been speaking about when it comes to LNG and the future: if you want to win the data centre race, you cannot stop at land banking and interconnect capacity. You must secure the feedstock. 

In this cycle, natural gas delivered as LNG and converted through high-efficiency CCGTs and flexible assets is the natural feedstock that underpins reliability, competitiveness and resilience as coal-fired capacity is retired.

With more LNG-linked announcements expected in Washington, D.C. this week, it is clear the smart money is going towards platforms that blend global LNG portfolios with on-the-ground generation and trading capability, close to demand.

This is a very smart move by all parties and a textbook example of my 1+1=11 philosophy in action: LNG + flexible power + trading + data centres + coal-to-gas transition = exponential value creation for every stakeholder in the chain.
