I’m Falan Blake a nursing student and CNA with a vision to bridge psychiatry, neurology, and nursing research. My journey into healthcare is deeply personal. I’ve lost loved ones to stroke and heart disease, and my child lives with a serious mental illness that changed the course of our lives. 

What drives me is the question why…why the brain and body respond the way they do, and how we can move beyond treating symptoms to addressing root causes.

My focus is pediatric neurology and mental health nursing, with long-term plans to pursue a dual PHD/DNP and position myself as a nurse scientist. I believe nursing can play a greater role in reshaping how we understand brain health from advocating for advanced imaging in psychiatric care to exploring new pathways for trauma-informed recovery.

This isn’t just a career shift; it’s a lifelong mission. My platform will document my academic journey, share insights at the intersection of psychiatry and neurology, and build awareness for research-based nursing care.

I'm a professionally trained Virtual Executive Assistant, who has a passion for project and event planning. I also love to design and help people portray the identity behind their brand. 

I am really excited about new opportunities and so getting to support people in different spheres of life administratively is something I enjoy. I use platforms such as, Google Workplace, Microsoft Office, Asana and Canva, amongst many others. I also have experience with content writing for social media and website posting. 

I currently offer project and event management, brand identity design and transcription services majorly. However, I am open to working with people on a contract-based level, doing other administrative tasks (you can click on the link in my bio to request a task).

Asides Virtual Assistance, my love for helping people, drove me to opening MechShopper, a personal shopping company that allows people stay at home while me and my wonderful team tick off the items from their shopping lists.
