I love automating boring, routine tasks in my daily life, from managing my social media to handling personal errands. This particular interest led me to discover my passion for DevOps, which is closely related to automation 🤖. 

My journey began a decade ago, and today, I find myself deeply engaged in DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices.

Some of the technologies I’ve explored include Git, Jenkins, Docker Compose, Terraform, ELK Stack, JBoss, IBM WebSphere, Kafka, Kong, SonarQube, Codacy, Nginx, Zapier, and many others.

Some of my automation wins: centralizing logs 📚, automating backups 💾, implementing automated patches and updates 🔄, managing the build lifecycle automatically 🔨, streamlining onboarding processes 👥, conducting automated security scans 🔒, and generating automated reports 📈.

The programming languages I utilize for automation include Python 🐍, Java ☕, Bash 🐚, Shell scripting 💻, and Groovy 🎶.

My favorite operating systems are CentOS 🐧, RedHat ❤️, and Fedora 🎩.

Overseeing qualitative and quantitative research from inception to delivery, these included usage and attitude studies, needs assessment surveys, concept testing, pricing studies, ad testing, and tracking, customer segmentation, satisfaction and loyalty, brand health research, retail execution audits, competitor intelligence etc.
Provide research team leadership by leading best-practice research, ensuring all information is sound, accurate and the team is clear on objectives. 
Liaising with departments and all key project stakeholders (data collection, quality assurance, data processing, etc.) to ensure that reliable results are delivered to clients in a timely, cost-efficient manner
Monitor the team to ensure quality standards and best practices are maintained and client’s expectations are met
Interpret client's brief and understand clients’ primary business questions and translate these into suitable research approaches 
Proactively provide solutions to client business questions & developing an outline for communicating key project considerations with project stakeholders in a timely manner
Developing appropriate research design which includes methodology, sample design, questionnaire design, and analysis specification

Led the research team in delivering projects commissioned by clients such as Financial Sector Deepening Africa (FSDA), DAI Global, IFC World Bank, KCB Uganda, Uganda Breweries Limited among others.
Overseeing qualitative and quantitative research from inception to delivery, these included usage and attitude studies, needs assessment surveys, concept testing, pricing studies, ad testing, and tracking, customer segmentation, satisfaction and loyalty, brand health research, retail execution audits, competitor intelligence etc.

Duties
Designing and leading the implementation of end to end research studies and presentation of proposals and reports (qualitative and quantitative) to clients such as Britam Insurance, Platinum Credit Ltd, Scanad among others
Leading the team in business development by maintaining the client database, conducting meetings with current and prospective clients.
Conducting different periodic research workshops with clients and other stakeholders
Conducting market intelligence gathering
Researching on new research products and models by decerning clients needs

Research Manager - Branded Research

Core duties (80%)
Leading the team in business development by; Researching the industry in Tanzania thoroughly with the aim of adapting strategies; identifying unmet needs by clients and devising ways of addressing them; Generating and expanding the client database.
Led operations and delivery on projects commissioned at the head office by clients such as The Coca-Cola Company, Nation Media Group Ltd, Jubillee Insurance Ltd among others
Leading the team in the acquisition of research projects, designing and implementing them, and delivering top quality reports including presentations.
Sourcing market intelligence and sharing with the entire group for action.

Other duties (20%)
Liaising with head office & drafting up monthly quarterly/annual reports.
Recruiting, vetting, training, and appraising all new staff.
Researching the country or region well enough and adapting strategies accordingly.
Monitoring performance at all levels and scheduling training as required.
Implementing an effective Consumer Insight Ltd brand strategy and ensuring consistency.
Building professional relationships with staff and clients, suppliers, and authorities.

Responsibilities:
Coordinated the day to day running of projects commissioned by clients such as Nation Media Group, Pwani Oil Ltd, KCB Bank Group, Repi (Ethiopia) among others
Collected briefs from clients by understanding their problems or positions before crafting documents for brainstorming by the research team
Designed qualitative and quantitative research tools and methods and contributed to the development of new products and improved systems;
Conducted primary qualitative and quantitative research and source secondary research in publications, journals, books among others;
Conducted and oversaw online and social media research, panel research, online communities, and web research;
Checked, analyzed, interpreted, reported, and submitted qualitative and quantitative data.
This included written reports and other final outputs of assignments;
Coordinated the delivery of projects worked with and reviewed the work of project teams to ensure delivery on time and on budget, to a high standard that met and surpassed the client's expectations;
Specific Duties:
Helped to develop and maintain a positive relationship with clients, acting as the main point of contact on all projects;
Lead the delivery of the research team strategies, including developing, agreeing, and prioritizing projects
