This was my second stint in the contract role of SC Johnson. I managed the design to print process to update the product label artworks for Method, Raid and other pest control products to comply with changes in regulation and other company information required on the labels.

I was in charge of preparing daily production and loss and waste analysis reports for upper management. I led monthly stocktake for both raw materials and packaging onsite, investigated and reconciled all cost variances. My administrative responsibility was maintaining all data pertaining to production covering production shift reports, records, and material inventory. 

My process improvement project during my stay with the company was to transition our material stocktake from Microsoft Excel to the GlobalBake ERP system. I set up the material backflushing upon entering product made per shift and linked it to the ERP system's automated stocktake module.

Production & Process Improvement Coordinator

I managed the execution of product artwork design to print process for brand visuals updates, new product launches and other related ad-hoc activities for the ANZ Marketing team. My role involved creating briefs for the design house, reviewing artwork amendments and pre-press, and liaising with the printers for the pre-press samples. 

My key project covered updating of all product label artwork for the new harmonized packaging for Windex, Mr Muscle, Pledge and Toilet Duck across the Asia Pacific Region.

Provided high level administrative support to the projects engineering team and senior management for execution of high capital expenditure projects across all manufacturing sites in New South Wales (Ingleburn, Leeton, Marrickville, Darlington Point) and Victoria (Shepparton and Dandenong).

Assists in the operations of the can filling lines thru basic machine operation and troubleshooting and routinary quality assurance checks (net content, Brix scale, carbon dioxide content, expiration code verification, sensory, temperature, operability of can rinsers and cleanliness checks, visual inspection and packaging integrity of cans). Provides support in other production related ad-hoc activities.

Monitoring and reporting of factory KPIs (weekly and monthly). Handled cost governance and facilitation of savings generation projects. Led implementation of improvement projects to increase efficiency of in-house filling and packaging lines according to the World Class Manufacturing framework.

Production Process Engineer

I have been working in the FMCG space since graduating in 2015 starting in the Philippines and now in my new home country, Australia. I moved to Sydney in 2017 and is now a full-fledged Australian citizen since 2022. 

To date my career has covered various disciplines such as manufacturing operations, continuous improvement, project management, product label artwork development and marketing. I have had the opportunity to learn from every stint and apply it to the next job, despite being different in primary nature at times.  In the long run, I aim to be an expert in supply chain operations and continuous improvement and maybe dabble in consultancy. I am always open to new opportunities to grow and learn in my career! 

Outside of work, I am very passionate about cooking, baking, and recently - plant collection and care! 

Ultimately, I want to be a professional with healthy work-life balance. I value mental health as much as physical health, and openly advocate for young professionals like me to prioritise it.
