El avance de la tecnología es exponencial. ¿Estamos preparados?

En solo dos años hemos pasado de videos de "broma" hechos por AI a casi no poder distinguir entre la realidad y un video generado por inteligencia artificial. Acá les muestro un ejemplo generado con Kling 2.6 de Higgsfield AI.

Hasta para los que trabajamos día a día en el mundo del AI, la velocidad en que se están convirtiendo las investigaciones en productos nos sorprenden. Antes pasaban años para que lo que se publicaba tuviera un impacto directo en la sociedad y las compañías, pero ese margen se está reduciendo a niveles acelerados.

En el 2013 Scott Brinker formuló la ley de Martec, que describe que la tecnología avanza exponencialmente, mientras que las organizaciones y personas lo hacen logarítmicamente, mucho más lento, creando una brecha que desafía la adopción de cambios y la transformación digital, haciendo que la implementación de nuevas tecnologías sea difícil y a menudo fracase por la resistencia organizacional. 

Aunque esa brecha se está reduciendo sigue ocurriendo que la tecnología pasa y las compañías, o se enteran muy tarde y comienzan a implementarla aceleradamente para alcanzar la ola, o literalmente se les va la ola dejando una deuda prominente tanto tecnológica como cultural en la organización.

Entonces las preguntas que debemos hacernos son: ¿estoy preparado para los cambios que vienen? ¿está mi compañía lista para abrazar estos cambios? ¿qué me conviene implementar y qué me conviene adquirir? ¿es hype o realmente hay valor?

Son preguntas fundamentales, y una de las formas de prepararnos es mantenernos al día con los desarrollos, hacer todo lo posible para encontrar la señal sobre todo el ruido, humo y hype que se genera en el mundo del AI para encontrar soluciones que verdaderamente puedan aumentar la eficiencia de tu compañía, así como mantenerte relevante y entregar los mejores productos al mejor precio ganándole a tu competencia.
