My journey as a Marketer started here, I was given the opportunity to choose between the sales or marketing road. Marketing seemed much more interesting to me, and I decided that it's the field in which I'll specialize. The 2 years were spent on learning the basics to understand everything about the broad "Digital Marketing". SEO seemed like the best way to go, it was interesting at that time so I put more effort into learning it. I was responsible for implementing the marketing strategy, SEO optimization, copywriting, translations, helping the sales team and a few other things.

When I joined Maxima Consulting as a Marketing Manager in 2020, the company’s marketing efforts were almost non-existent. Today, our marketing team consists of 3 people, including myself. Our profile on LinkedIn has more than 20.000 followers. The clients regularly mention our marketing efforts in conversations, and our campaigns drive more and more candidates into our hiring pipeline.

Building the Maxima marketing division from scratch was definitely a challenge. Today, we have a real impact on the Maxima brand, its messaging, and its image. The leadership acknowledges and appreciates the team's efforts. We’re just getting started but I believe we continue to move in the right direction.

My goal for the near future is to grow the Maxima brand: both as an excellent employer and as a trusted partner to businesses of all sizes, in Europe and beyond. For me, the sky is the limit. I won’t be satisfied until people in the industries we support recognize our brand as synonymous with quality and expertise. In marketing, there are no immediate results, so I understand we need to be patient to achieve that.

Being a competitive person, I believe that the work in marketing suits me. I enjoy solving unexpected issues, tracking our progress toward goals, and comparing Maxima’s results to the competitors. Of course, I understand that marketing is a team effort. I always put people I work with first, dedicate myself to being a dependable leader, and encourage team cooperation.

My role as a Marketing Manager is a complex one. On the one hand, I’m responsible for my team and overseeing their work. On the other, I have my own tasks to perform, including developing strategic plans, social media management, video content creation, and running paid campaigns. Even my experience in writing and translation (especially from German to Polish) comes in handy from time to time.

Outside Maxima, I enjoy following automotive news, going to the gym, and working on my podcast about leadership in the B2B space.

Maxima Consulting is an IT consulting company founded in 1993 in Boston. We help organizations across the world in developing, scaling, and supporting their IT environments. Our powerful and reliable IT solutions are used by enterprises in Banking & Finance, Insurance, Transport & Logistics, Healthcare, and other industries.

Jakub Zajicek

Back in March 2020, I co-founded Speak On Podcasts with a partner from the UK. We grew it into one of the world’s leading agencies for booking podcast interviews, securing over 2,500 appearances for more than 125 leaders from top B2B brands like Canva, Gong, Paddle, and Toggl.

In December 2022, Chapman Capital acquired the agency (source). I stayed on for over a year to ensure a smooth transition and maintain high service quality for our clients. In April 2025, the business was acquired again — this time by UK company Fame (source), which integrated the agency and team into its portfolio under the name “Fame Connect.”

In 2024, I co-founded Demandi.co with a partner from the US. As COO, I helped over 300 B2B professionals create nearly 2,000 short LinkedIn videos. I built the MVP, ran operations, and drove revenue and pipeline growth. I stepped away voluntarily due to a difference in vision with my co-founder.

LinkedIn has been a key acquisition channel in both businesses. I’ve tested it all — posting daily for 188 days straight, reaching out to 50+ people a day, and most recently, running paid ads. All of it generated deals worth over $1M.

Today, I work independently, helping B2B brands and individuals become more visible and get more clients using LinkedIn.

I live in the Czech Republic with my wife. I have type 1 diabetes. I run and work out. 🙂

Step 2: Add a soft CTA.

Not pushy. Just an option for people who want more.

Step 3: Promote to my exact ICP.

$20-30/day in Thought Leader Ads.

Custom audience of founders, executives, B2B professionals.

Only showing to people who might actually want what I offer.

Step 4: Track everything.

People click the link → land on guide page → download guide → join my email list.

That's a lead.

The math:

~$600/month ad spend.

~400-500 new leads per month.

$1.20-1.50 per lead.

Compare to:

LinkedIn lead gen ads: $30-50 per lead.

Google ads: $20-100 per lead.

Cold outreach: Hours of time + tools + often zero response.

Why does this work?

Because the "ad" is just my content.

It doesn't feel like marketing.

It feels like value.

People engage because it's genuinely helpful.

Then they want more.

No hard sell. No pressure.

Just good content → right audience → natural next step.

If I were starting LinkedIn from zero today, here's exactly what I'd do:

Week 1-2: Content foundation.

Write 10 posts about problems my ICP faces.

Not generic advice. Specific situations. Real examples.

Post them organically to test which ones resonate.

Track which get engagement from relevant people (not just friends).

Week 3: Set up paid distribution.

Go to LinkedIn Ads Manager.

Build my exact ICP as a saved audience.

Create a cold campaign at $10/day.

Promote my 3 best-performing posts from weeks 1-2.

Week 4+: Scale what works.

Monitor which posts get the best engagement.

Add more winning posts to the campaign.

Increase budget on what's working.

Start a retargeting campaign for people who engaged.

Why this order matters:

Most people skip straight to posting more.

More content to the wrong audience = more wasted effort.

Or they try paid ads with untested content.

Burning money on posts that don't resonate.

The sequence is:

Test content organically → Identify winners → Amplify with paid.

Not: Post randomly → Hope → Get frustrated → Quit.

Timeline to results:

With this approach, you can have:

- Your ICP defined (Week 1)
- Content tested (Week 2)
- Paid distribution running (Week 3)
- First inbound conversations (Week 4-6)

6 weeks from zero to visible.

Not 6 months of hoping the algorithm notices you.
