January 2025: Lipedema diagnosis. 

November 2025: First surgery. 

In between: Building an AI company from €0 to €35K MRR.

Lipedema is a hormonal disease that affects 1 in 10 women. 

Almost nobody talks about it.

I will.

Two weeks ago, I had the first of three surgeries. 

Today, I can finally walk almost normally again. And I'm fucking grateful for that.
But here's what sits between "diagnosis" and "recovery":

3 AM. Wide awake. Not because of pitch decks. Because of pain and the panic that you're not working while your team is delivering + the constant need to get pain killers every six hours. 

Hormonal rollercoaster. You cry from exhaustion. Then you cry because you're crying and think you're weak. 

Physiotherapy three times a week for the upcoming weeks.

Walking in the rain in Birkenstocks because no shoes fit while Noel Lent is talking about our vision at AIEngine in Berlin.

Client calls from bed because sitting and standing aren't an option.

That voice in your head: "Other founders would've handled this better."

Nobody tells you as a founder: Your body is not optional. It's your fucking business partner.

And sometimes it goes on strike.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗜 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗱:

Vulnerability isn't weakness. 
It's the only way to get through this while still leading a team.

Breaks aren't a luxury. They're m͟a͟i͟n͟t͟e͟n͟a͟n͟c͟e͟.

And when I tell other founders "take care of yourself" - I mean it. Really.

Two more surgeries to go. 

But today? Today I'm celebrating that I can walk again.

That's a win too.

To everyone stuck between "must work" and "can't work" right now: I see you. 

You're not less of a founder because your body is fighting right now.

Spent my weekend exploring new approaches and papers, and I'm really happy with how this full ai campaign fun project for Polène Paris turned out.

For these images, I planned the complete concept beforehand, used 20 reference pictures of the bag, and trained specific landscape elements for my desired aesthetic. 

I'm quite pleased with how the compositing turned out, though the texture and canvas of the coat could have been refined further. Textures are always the final challenge, but we're getting closer by incorporating inputs from actual product patterns.

I used to think pitching innovative ideas to conservative clients was about the deck.  

Better slides. Stronger case studies. More data.  

Then I worked with a global brand that had rejected every emerging technology pitch for three years.  

𝗧𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝟮𝟬 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝘂𝘁𝗲𝘀.  

What changed wasn't the idea.  
It was the entry point.  

Most creative technologists make the same mistake:  

They lead with the technology. 
"We should explore Web3." 
"AI can transform your workflow." 
"Let's experiment with generative content."  

Conservative clients hear: Risk. Budget. Uncertainty.  

The approach that works?  Start with their existing pain point. 
 Not a theoretical opportunity. Not an industry trend. 
Not what their competitor is doing.  

𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹, 𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗺.

Then show them how the innovation solves it.  

Frame it as an iterative pilot, not a transformation.  Give them an exit ramp if it doesn't work.  

Suddenly, you're not the person asking them to take a leap.  

You're the person helping them solve Tuesday's problem with a smarter tool.  

The brands I've worked with don't adopt innovation because it's exciting.  

They adopt it because it makes their current challenge manageable. 

That's the difference between a "no" and a "let's test it." 

𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀𝗻'𝘁 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗹 𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁.  It just needs to work.  

What's the biggest objection you hear when pitching new ideas to risk-averse stakeholders?

Meta's new SAM 3D turns photos into 3D models automatically.

My take as someone who actually works in 3D and AI production:

This is a solid step forward. Not revolutionary, but useful.

Will it replace 3D artists? No. Will it speed up parts of the workflow? Probably.

Think of it like this: Right now, if a client wants to see their product in 3D, we need days or weeks. 

This could give them something rough in minutes-enough to say "yes, that direction" or "no, try something else."

The quality isn't there for final delivery. 

They admit the meshes lose detail and don't handle complex scenes well. 

But for early-stage work? Blocking out a scene? Testing an idea fast? 
Could be genuinely helpful.

The smart part is they're open-sourcing it. So it'll get better fast as people build on it.

Reality check: We're still away from "photo to production-ready 3D" in one click. The craft still matters. Understanding lighting, topology, textures—that's not going 
anywhere.

But this could cut out some of the tedious early work. And honestly? I'll take that.

Die letzten Wochen fühlten sich für mich tatsächlich ein bisschen nach Liebeskummer an. Nicht wegen einer Person, sondern wegen meines Jobs. ❤️‍🩹

Offiziell endet meine Zeit bei STELP zum 1. Februar. Nach fast vier Jahren, die mich geprägt, herausgefordert und wachsen lassen haben. 

Und ja: Der Prozess tat weh. Denn ich bin mit STELP erwachsen geworden. Und STELP auch mit mir.

Ich bin dankbar für die gemeinsame Zeit, für all die großartigen Menschen, mit denen ich zusammenarbeiten durfte, und für die Projekte, die wir gestemmt haben. Vor allem aber bin ich dankbar für das, was wir in dieser Zeit bewegen konnten.

Dennoch will ich auch ehrlich mit euch sein: Die vergangenen Monate waren extrem herausfordernd. Sie waren anstrengend und kräftezehrend und haben mir viel abverlangt.

Just a day before NVIDIA's critical Q3 earnings call, a massive new arrangement has been announced. Microsoft and NVIDIA are effectively funneling cash into Anthropic—an investment of $10 billion from NVIDIA and $5 billion from Microsoft—which Anthropic has committed to spending on Microsoft's cloud infrastructure.

Since that infrastructure runs on NVIDIA's chips, the money effectively completes a perfect circle. It leaves NVIDIA's balance sheet as an investment and returns as revenue, potentially boosting the very growth metrics that justify its sky-high stock valuation.
