Radial Path is a niche B2B brand and performance marketing agency that specialises in strategically enhancing digital infrastructure and tech brands, implementing effective product marketing, and developing scalable Marketing Operating Models that drive growth.

It was started by Ruth Plater, who spent much of her career scaling sales and marketing teams and leading brands to acquisition in the digital infrastructure space. Most notably as VP Global Sales & Marketing at cloud connectivity company, Console Connect, later acquired by PCCW Global.

Whilst Radial Path was set up to work with digital infrastructure companies globally (telecoms, network operators, data centers, cloud computing, managed service providers) it has naturally evolved to offer go to market support for B2B tech startups at various points in their investment and growth journeys.

Console Connect (formerly IIX Inc/IX Reach Ltd.) was headquartered in Silicon Valley, California. The company expanded its global interconnection footprint into more than 170 Points of Presence (PoPs) across the U.S., Canada, Europe, Asia and the Middle East. It was funded by New Enterprise Associates (NEA), Formation 8, DOT Capital, AME Cloud Ventures and Drew Perkins. 

At Console Connect, I was responsible for all aspects of the company’s marketing. I provided leadership for the development of global strategic marketing plans, including setting lead generation objectives for target markets, channel and key audiences, helping to launch the next generation of interconnection services for enterprise.

At Console I was responsible for building and managing all aspects of sales and marketing for the group's network services within EMEA & APAC. 

Under the IX Reach brand, I worked with the sales and business development teams to ensure excellence and constant improvement with every customer touchpoint, and development in the sales structure and processes to increase the acquisition of new logos and maximise growth and retention with existing global accounts. My overall responsibility was to lead the performance and development of the European sales team, drive new business and support key business strategies.

This included, establishing structured marketing efforts, budgets, event plans, online content strategies, co-ordinating and managing PR, lead-generation and business strategies, and building an overall robust source of market intelligence and leads to feed the sales funnel for qualification.

When I joined Console (formerly IX Reach) in 2012, the company was still in its early start up stages. I was initially brought on board to help with business development across the German speaking markets, which included working closely with partners, vendors and existing prospects that resided in this area to grow our channels for lead generation and pre-sales qualification within these markets. My role quickly developed where gaps emerged in the marketing of the company and I later took over the management of the sales team, to become Head of Sales & Marketing.

ChasingAir.com was a price comparison website for outdoor sports gear. Think, moneysupermarket for skis, climbing gear, tents, mountain bikes and more. As founder and director, I took this project from initial concept to completion, including raising the funding and resources for launch, wire framing and mapping out the website design, content and layout, UX design, developing the site's affiliate partner network to generate sales from the site via click through referrals, and driving traffic to the website with organic and paid search marketing strategies.

eco - Association of the German Internet Industry

eco (www.eco.de) is Europe’s largest Internet Association and one of the founding members of EuroCloud (www.eurocloud.org) and EuroISPA (www.euroispa.org), the world’s largest Internet Service Provider Association. 

I was responsible for developing the business and communications strategies for the international members of the eco Association and its other branches (DE-CIX, EuroCloud Germany_eco, Datacenter Star Audit). This included ideation and creation of bespoke content and marketing for international audiences, planning and managing events for this specific audience and increasing their level of long-term customer engagement with the organisation.
