Build the student branchs of the mid-west Americas region for the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). Work includes specifying annual goals for students branches, conduct leadership training for the student branch officers for continuing to build their branch, avail social media for publicity for the IEEE in mid-west americas region and make a case to various organizatins about the benefit of IEEE to them and society. Responsibilty also included conducting the annual student conference and student competitions. Manage 4 major competitions and several other local competitions as desired by the local sub-regional entities. Strategic planning for the upliftment of various sub-regional IEEE communities with varied interests and requirements yet same goals.These works came on the heals of building my home student branch to become outstanding branch in the region.

Detailed experience in protocol design for lower (MAC and DLC) and higher layers (Application sch as SIP and Transport layer as well). 

Work experience contains conceiving and designing new wireless communication protocols for IEEE 802.11 and 802.15.x protocols based wireless systems. Main applications of this research is in emergency applications. Research contributions in developing part of IEEE 802.15 protocol series for reliability and latency constrains. Work done with MERL resulted in publications in IEEE comsoc portfolio conferences including Globecom 2008, ANTS 2009 and ISCC 2010. 

Research work experience also consists in application layer protocol design for text based protocols specifically Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) in this case. This work consists of collaborative research with Dr. Vijay Gurbani in Bell Laboratories (and several major collaborators) for designing algorithms for enhanced validation of SIP PDUs in the presence of DDoS traffic. The key challenge is to validate text-based PDUs without parsing time in the traditional way. Research uses self-learning algorithms to enhance the parsing efficiency of SIP and other text based protocols. Research published in IEEE/IFIP NTMS, NM, IEEE ICC and Bell Labs annual report.

Worked in Start-up work such as building an Institute for Innovation in Illinois and small business work in the filed of power systems and Renewable Energy via managing the company Advanced Energy Solutions Group Inc in Southern Illinois as a CEO.
