Everyone's obsessing over AEO optimization. Meanwhile, they're ignoring what actually gets cited:

My client's LinkedIn video got 110,000+ impressions... but we're NOT doubling down on video.

Look, LinkedIn video is growing at 2x the rate of other post formats (the LinkedIn CMO said it herself). Every platform does this – launch feature, boost engagement, create FOMO.

Recently, we posted a video that reached 110,000+ impressions in just a few hours.

But we’re not pivoting our entire strategy to video.

Here's why:

01/ Massive distribution ≠ right distribution.

110k impressions sounds impressive until you look at who actually saw it. Video gets pushed to broader, colder audiences. I’ve seen this pattern with dozens of clients - huge impression spikes that hardly move the needle on pipeline.

02/ Impressions ≠ views.

For video, views should be the primary metric, not impressions. There's a reason YouTube prioritizes view count.

03/ It creates false benchmarks. 

When one video hits 110k, you start expecting that performance every time. But organic content doesn't work that way.

04/ Pipeline influence >>> vanity metrics.

In this role I was responsible for managing social media networks, producing photo, video and written content. Also largely made the hardware projects featured in the produced media. This resulted in awareness, leads and sales.

During my time in Green Garage (i.e. all the time the business existed) it grew to be the best known makerspace in Lithuania which started to bring the maker's culture locally from the early adopters to the masses.

A fast paced and intense startup environment thought me a lot about content production on a deadline and effective methods of doing so.

I've been the 1st or 2nd marketing hire for 5+ products and witnessed small teams, tiny budgets, and massive expectations. Often all at the same time. As you may imagine, this taught me a few things.

This taught me to be resourceful, to efficiently hire and work with freelancers, to write & communicate, to define the ideal customer & position products, to fundamentally understand marketing as a whole and its channels separately, to set things up in a way that creates a foundation you can build on.

And most importantly – it taught me how to be a strategic doer. I.e. think about the long-term impact while staying hands-on and delivering at the same time.
