5 LI Posts to Build Trust, Fast

Everyone's obsessing over AEO optimization. Meanwhile, they're ignoring what actually gets cited:

My client's LinkedIn video got 110,000+ impressions... but we're NOT doubling down on video.

Look, LinkedIn video is growing at 2x the rate of other post formats (the LinkedIn CMO said it herself). Every platform does this – launch feature, boost engagement, create FOMO.

Recently, we posted a video that reached 110,000+ impressions in just a few hours.

But we’re not pivoting our entire strategy to video.

Here's why:

01/ Massive distribution ≠ right distribution.

110k impressions sounds impressive until you look at who actually saw it. Video gets pushed to broader, colder audiences. I’ve seen this pattern with dozens of clients - huge impression spikes that hardly move the needle on pipeline.

02/ Impressions ≠ views.

For video, views should be the primary metric, not impressions. There's a reason YouTube prioritizes view count.

03/ It creates false benchmarks. 

When one video hits 110k, you start expecting that performance every time. But organic content doesn't work that way.

04/ Pipeline influence >>> vanity metrics. 

This client's brand has influenced $10M+ in enterprise deals over the last 6 months with FAR fewer impressions on average posts.
