I've spent 20+ years easing the theater, fear, and rigidity that keep smart teams stuck—and I do it through a blend of leadership, comedy and improv. Humor isn't just fun; It's the algorithm for helping leaders build what I call "Bold Nets."

I'm a stand-up and improv comedian (Second City writing, ComedySportz, more) who also spent years as a tech exec building high-performing teams. That combo taught me something most folks miss: The same skills that make you good at improv are what makes teams brave enough to innovate. Comfort with uncertainty. Building on others' ideas. Making it safe and supported to speak up, take smart risks and fail. And when we build stronger companies, cultures and teams who support us - the NET - we can do big things.

Humor is the neurological hack (not jokes) that unlocks psychological safety, kills fear-based decision making, and unleashes the ridiculously amazing ideas.
