Franz Schrepf is the Head of Strategic Partnerships at OpusClip, the #1 AI video editing tool used by 10M+ creators and businesses around the world. 

Before Opus he was the #16 employee at Hopin and StreamYard, a virtual events and live streaming company which Sifted called "Europe's fastest growing startup of all time." 
 
His new book, "The Book on Partnerships: How Startups Work With Partners To Sell More, Add Features, And Get Acquired.", is a foundational guide full of stories and insights from 50+ industry experts that explain the power of partnerships in the most basic terms.  

Franz is also a frequent contributor and speaker on the topic of partnerships on podcasts, blogs, events, and conferences as well as the host of one of the most popular partnership podcasts, The Partner Ship 🚢.

Originally from Germany, Franz lives with his wife and daughter in San Francisco, where he organizes monthly partnerships meetups together with the Partnerships Leaders community.

Still trying to wrap my head around Dubai.

There was just too much—too many people, too many incredible convos, too many moments I wish I could bottle up and bring home.

Yes, I got a selfie with MrBeast.
(That might have been the highlight for my kids 😂)

But what hit different was this:

Every hallway, every table, every line for coffee…
You’d bump into someone building something.
A platform. A movement. A brand. A legacy.

And you could feel it—this was more than a flashy event.

It was the global summit of the creator economy.
And being there reminded me just how far this space has come.

No more creator vs. operator.
No more “side hustle” mindset.
It was creators as founders.
Platforms as partners.
Operators as enablers.

Massive shoutout to Nizar Salman, Jim Louderback, and the entire crew behind 1 Billion Followers Summit. You pulled off something truly special.

✈️ First full day in Dubai—and it’s already over-delivered.

It’s hard to describe just how next-level this city is.

Every detail feels intentional.
The skyline is outrageous.
The service? Next-level.

Had a blast catching up with my buddy Zachariah Al Tagiuri 🔜 1 Billion Followers Summit from ARC Management on his home turf (at his favorite breakfast cafe, naturally).

Finally got to meet Aniket Mishra in person too! Finally.

Then lunch at The Dorchester in Business Bay with a crew of industry folks—[Laura Edwards 🔜 1 Billion Followers Summit, Marcus Bernette, Gracie Schram 🔜 1 Billion Followers Summit, Jacques Keyser, Tobias Hoss 🔜 1 Billion Followers Summit, Ollie Forsyth, Xander Wilkins, Luis Allen].

Still buzzing from an unforgettable week in Dubai 🇦🇪✨

Allison Yazdian and I just got back from the 1 Billion Followers Summit—and let’s just say… this one’s going to need a few posts. So many epic moments, inspiring convos, and beautiful memories.

Huge shoutout to our friends at Epidemic Sound (Oscar Höglund, Gracie Schram 🔜 1 Billion Followers Summit, and the 6'3"ft wonder Marcus Bernette) for cohosting an incredible VIP dinner with us—set against the stunning backdrop of the Museum of the Future. And another big thanks to our partner Kavit Haria (who leads Jay Shetty’s membership) for teaming up on a second dinner at the iconic Burj Al Arab. These gatherings were packed with visionaries and builders shaping the next era of the creator economy.

Dubai truly delivered. It’s hard to put it all into words, but the photos say it all.

It wasn’t a strategy session, but the ideas were flowing.

We left with fresh perspective.

Yesterday, I had the privilege of joining a Uscreen Breakfast Meetup in Paris 🇫🇷🥐☕️

Got to catch up with Diego Quintero from our team, connect with Pierre-Louis JM. (one of our amazing agency partners), and hang out with some of our customers based in France.

Nothing beats meeting our community in person.

There’s a different kind of energy when creators, partners, and platforms get to share space—not just ideas.

Would love to see more of this in 2026 and beyond. Not just in Paris, but all over. 🌍

CEO at Uscreen | Empowering creators to build scalable video memberships

As I wrap up prep for an 18+ hour journey to Dubai for the 1 Billion Followers Summit, I’m feeling a mix of excitement and gratitude.

Travel always comes with a little anxiety for me—I’ll miss my family deeply—but this trip feels special. It honestly feels like a cross between a luxurious summer camp and business school for the creator economy. 

Huge thanks to Jim Louderback for creating a space like this and including me.

Here’s why I’m so excited: I genuinely love the people in this industry.

The creator economy is one of the most open, generous ecosystems I’ve ever been part of. People share freely. Doors aren’t closed. There’s a real desire to help each other build better businesses—and that energy is contagious.

I’m looking forward to reconnecting with familiar faces and meeting new ones I already know will be incredible. I’m also excited about the work ahead:
 • Uscreen is hosting a couple of events with partners and customers (thank you, Rob Balasabas 🔜 1 Billion Followers Summit 🙏)
 • We have a full slate of 1:1s with potential partners and creators
 • And I’ll be joining a panel on Day 1

The days will be packed, but the extrovert in me is already buzzing. I get to meet smart, thoughtful people in a great location and spend my time talking about one of my favorite topics: helping creators and video businesses build sustainable, recurring subscription revenue.

Grateful to be part of this community—and excited for what’s ahead.
