Managing internal teams and external stakeholders, as well as a multi-million dollar budget, I worked on launching new programs that increased brand awareness and the business unit's ROMI. Additionally I took the lead of the first WW brand campaign that culminated with a launch at Cannes Lions and was afterwards implemented by the regions. Always pushing the boundaries and obsessed with technology, I successfully initiated a project in partnership with Microsoft HoloLens that enabled HP to showcase large pieces of technology at worldwide trade shows in Mixed Reality, which lowered our costs and increased the customer experience, a project that was personally presented to and approved by the current CEO and CMO of HP. 

•  Marketing Strategy: Planning and execution of GTM Strategy to achieve business targets and supply new business opportunities to the sales team. Set overall strategic and tactical direction for marketing programs that generate revenue and share. Drive Multi-Channel Campaigns through Direct Mail, Social Media, Digital Marketing and Events.
•  Client Marketing: Worked closely with our customers and our customers' customers to understand needs, insights and to create joint marketing projects.
•  Brand Strategy: Briefed and worked with agencies across multiple fields to define communication objectives, positioning, buyer journey and build story lines with creative content. 
•   Overall management of relationships and investments with key industry associations, journalists and strategic media partners.
•  Thought leadership speaker: I passionately told the HP story through speaking engagements at marketing conferences; also involved in video and written interviews published in main industry publications. 
•  Culture: I established a platform of communication and relationship building between teams within the business for a closer collaboration.

Americas Marketing Strategy Lead 

As a member of the UK&I Management Board, reporting both to the Country Manager and EMEA Marketing Director in Barcelona, I was not only the lead on marketing strategy for the region, but I was also involved in making decisions on human resources, business objectives and sales strategies. I managed a successful marketing and insight sales team, building a customer business development program that was afterwards turned into a global initiative and contributing to making the UK&I the best performing region. As a spokesperson for HP UK, I told the HP story passionately at conferences, in interviews with journalists and was invited to represent the company on external advisory boards. I was awarded with Exceeding Expectations 2 years in a row. 

•  Lead planning and execution of Lead Generation, Funnel Migration and Business Development activities to achieve country targets  and supply new business opportunities .
•  Thought Leadership: Expert Speaker at industry events, conferences and HP Events; also involved in video and written interviews published in main industry publications
•  Successful European and National Campaigns and Events planning and execution - Decision making on format and focus by analyzing business needs and sales funnel status; coordination and execution of  complex events; post event analysis on achievement of business objectives  
•  Business Development Programs: I built and delivered a business development program where I trained companies of all sizes on how to build multi channel campaigns in order to engage with their customers.

1 - As a marketer myself, I worried we’d bump heads.
2 - I assumed every VP Marketing wanted a big team, big budgets, and would not be hands-on. And that's fine normally, but that’s not what Sequel.io needed.

Then I met Kathleen Booth.

Today marks 1 month since Kathleen joined us as VP Marketing and here’s why she completely changed my mind, and what she’s already accomplished in her first 30 days:

• 𝐒𝐡𝐞 𝐚𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬.
What works? What doesn’t? 𝐀𝐍𝐃 what doesn’t need to work right now. Sometimes the instinct is to fix everything (guilty!), but prioritizing and understanding the needs at every stage is key.

• 𝐒𝐡𝐞 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐝 𝐰𝐡𝐲 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐜𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐛𝐮𝐲.
She dove into call recordings, met with customers and marketing leaders, and started synthesizing insights right away.

• 𝐒𝐡𝐞’𝐬 𝐢𝐧𝐟𝐥𝐮𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭.
Her background as a former Sequel customer means she knows the gaps and the opportunities. She’s already brought valuable direction to our roadmap.

• 𝐒𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐨𝐞𝐬𝐧'𝐭 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐢𝐧 𝐚 𝐬𝐢𝐥𝐨.
Jumping into Pipeline Review, working with Sales & CS, ensuring we’re driving the right revenue. sales vs. marketing talk doesn’t exist at Sequel! 

• 𝐒𝐡𝐞’𝐬 𝐛𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐬 𝐰𝐞 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐬𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐞, not perfection for perfection’s sake.
Instead of architecting a massive future-state operation, she’s creating exactly what we need now, in a way that grows with us (and makes us more efficient today).

• 𝐒𝐡𝐞 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐇𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐧 + 𝐀𝐈 𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞.
She’s using AI to move faster and smarter, while not losing the human analysis. She built custom GPT personas for messaging stress tests and weekly competitive analysis pushed straight into Slack. 

And while our visions and work styles align, she also challenges me and how we’ve done things. Keep it interesting :)
