I met a client in person few weeks ago.

We spent hours pulling apart ideas, studying patterns, and narrowing in on what actually moves the needle for their brand.

At one point, they showed me a competitor’s page.

Almost every post was about festivals…
International Mother’s Day.
International Men’s Day.
World-this Day.
World-that Day.

A long list of “calendar content”.

It got me thinking…Brands are losing because their content has no spine. For once, they can stop blaming competition and look within.

Holiday posts hardly build authority or create demand. Such posts clearly don’t position you as a category leader.

People follow you for clarity, conviction, insights and original thinking, not for reminders that today is XYZ Day.
