No dissatisfaction.

I paused.
And for a minute, I didn’t know what to feel.

Because this wasn’t about work quality.

Indian family dynamics.

Being busy is a privilege.
And I’ve only realised this in the last few months.

People keep asking me,
“Garima, how are you managing a 9–5 and a full freelance SMM workload?”
And honestly… sometimes even I don’t know.

My Monday to Friday goes into my full time job — all day, back-to-back calls, deadlines, deliverables.
And the moment I log out, my second shift starts.

Client strategy.
Ghostwriting.
Managing their profiles.
Content calendars.
Revisions.
Team check-ins.
Interns.
Everything.

Saturday?
Most people plan brunches.
I’m usually at a cafe, sipping overpriced coffee and finishing freelance work, reviewing content, clearing the pending load from the week.

And Sunday?
This may sound funny, but after 5 p.m., I vanish.
Laptop band. No calls. No content. No meetings.
Nothing.

I’m literally in my room, in my oversized T-shirt, looking like a sleepy panda, doing absolutely nothing.
And I’ve stopped feeling guilty about it.

Because this routine —
this rush, this pressure, this back-and-forth life —
it’s also a privilege.

It means people trust me.
It means I have clients who believe in my work.
It means I get to grow something of my own while also holding a stable job.
It means I get to build, earn, learn — all at the same time.

Yes, it’s tiring.
Yes, it gets overwhelming.
But it’s also beautiful in its own way.

And if you’re in a similar phase — juggling, balancing, figuring it out —
just remember:
you’re not behind.
You’re building.

And sometimes, the ability to be “busy”
is the biggest blessing hiding in plain sight.

I’ve been a part of underneat.in gang for a while now, and it’s been one of those experiences that constantly makes you pause and think,

“Wait, am I really doing this?” (in the best possible way.)

The kind of work that pushes you, excites you, humbles you, and sometimes makes you question if your brain and excel are conspiring against you.

But here’s the thing, I’ve genuinely loved it.

To be pushed into challenges I didn’t see coming, to learn parts of myself I didn’t know existed,
and to finally see how much difference the right environment and the right people make.

~ What they return.
~ What they reorder without thinking.
~ What they gift to friends.
~ What they take the longest to decide.

These small signals shape more strategy than any 50-page report.

one thing i’ve learnt that good communication isn’t about sounding clever. It’s about

Whenever I sit for any brief or write myself for underneat.in , I go through one filter:

“If this was said by a real woman to her friend, would it still work?”

If the answer is no, the line goes out.

Because brand stories only work when they feel like real conversations. 

honest, simple, and slightly personal.

The rest is just decoration.

sorry to break it to you but discipline isn’t waking up at 5 AM or having a colour-coded routine.

Real discipline is doing the boring parts:

sending the email you’ve been avoiding,
finishing the task that’s 80% done,
showing up when motivation is nowhere to be found.

It’s not glamorous.
It’s not aesthetic.

But it’s the part that quietly builds momentum while everyone else waits for “motivation.”

Consistency is built in the unexciting moments.

unpopular opinion: A brand doesn’t win because it says something new.

It wins because it says the same thing with honesty, consistency, and proof.

Most categories chase differentiation.

But in everyday essentials, the real gap is trust.
Women don’t need louder campaigns.

They need brands that don’t overpromise, don’t complicate, and don’t make them feel wrong about their bodies.

So our positioning work often sounds like this:

“Say less. Mean more.
And back every line with a product that actually does what it says.”

It isn’t glamorous.
But it’s the only kind of storytelling that lasts.
