The playbook I use to see trends early:

(my unfair advantage going into 2026)

I’ve led top brand campaigns w/ some of the coolest companies.
And right now, I’m deep in planning mode for what’s next.

A huge focus for me is spotting where trends actually start.
Then plugging campaigns into those moments.
Cutting in while people are still deciding.

Cause this messy middle (where Q’s repeat, opinions clash, community hangs) is where the real signal lives.

That’s why Reddit for Business is ranking at the top for me right now.
I use Reddit to:

- uncover golden audience insight from authentic convos
- activate audiences before they’ve made up their minds
- carry signal all the way through the funnel without losing trust

One example: I used Reddit Pro keyword tracking to spot a pattern forming across multiple communities. That signal showed up weeks before it appeared on other platforms.

We shaped the campaign around that language. Message landed immediately. Performance followed.

My 2026 system looks like this:
listen first → identify repeated intent → shape the narrative → then distribute.

The real edge now isn’t louder marketing. It’s understanding people earlier andddd meeting them while they’re already deciding.

That’s the playbook I’m building around.

it might not be a content problem
but an AI tool stack problem.

too many tools, tabs, workflows would drive anyone crazy.

more AI hasn’t made content better.
it’s made it heavier.

the best creators I know aren’t running massive stacks.
they’re using 4 tools max.

because fewer decisions means more brain space saved.

here’s the stack to simplify your workflows:

something to help you pressure-test ideas, structure thoughts, sharpen voice, get unstuck.

used sparingly for clarity and flow.

catch thoughts fast!

a calendar, checklist, or light scheduler to help you stay consistent + intentional.

that’s it.
everything else is complexity disguised as productivity.

AI should reduce friction, not add it.

if your stack feels heavy, that’s the signal.
simplify!!

how to prevent scaling the wrong ideas:

(despite what AI tells you!)

AI is making bad ideas scale faster than ever.
but the problem isn’t AI’s.
it’s us hitting publish too fast.

something sloppy, half-baked, or just wrong can now reach hundreds, thousands, even millions, before anyone notices.

so how do you avoid amplifying mistakes?

pressure-test your thinking first.

here’s how:
1. slow it down
don’t hit publish right after generating a post.
take a breath. review. reconsider.

2. read it out loud
does it sound like you?
does it convey what you actually mean?

3. flip perspectives
what would a critic say? 
what would someone outside your industry think?
(critics aren’t the end-all, but can be worthy of thought)

4. share with another human
even one person spotting a gap can save you a lot of trouble.

your job isn’t to make more content.
it’s to make better content.

slow down.
pressure-test.
then scale.

I’m revealing my 3 layer storytelling strategy:

(copy my hack for better, more human outputs!!)

AI can generate words, but it can’t automatically tell your story the way your brand does.

to get consistent, on-brand output, teach the model your narrative in 𝟯 𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗿𝘀:

𝟭. 𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗳𝘀
define the principles your brand stands for.

 • write 2-3 sentences describing your values.
 • prompt AI: “use these beliefs as the foundation for all messaging”
   example: “we believe marketing should build trust, not just clicks”

𝟮. 𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗲𝘅𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘀
collect stories, case studies, or examples that capture your voice.

 • list 3-5 recurring stories or wins.
 • prompt AI: “reference these examples to illustrate points naturally”
   example: “highlight how brands scale with AI while keeping human creativity central”

𝟯. 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗴𝘂𝗮𝗴𝗲
document recurring phrases, terminology, and tone.

 • compile 5-10 phrases or words you always use.
 • prompt AI: “write content using this tone, language, and style consistently.”
   example: “always lowercase, concise, educational, with punchy takeaways”

𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗼 𝘂𝘀𝗲:

 1. feed all three layers to the model before generating content
 2. ask AI to produce the first draft
 3. review, tweak, and add new examples to refine outputs

the better you teach, the less editing you need.
and AI becomes a true storytelling partner.

everyone’s asking how to use AI for content in 2026.
but that’s not really the question.
the real advantage is knowing what AI can’t do.

AI can generate ideas but it can’t live the moment that led to them.

AI can summarize what happened but it can’t show the tension while it was happening.

AI can clean up copy but it can’t recreate the back-and-forth, the second guessing, the almost wrong call.

that gap is where the human opportunity is.
in 2026, the content that actually works will be more real.
really, truly, real.

what to share instead of generic AI content:
• the decision you went back and forth on
• the thing that didn’t work + why
• what surprised you this week
• how something actually got approved
• what you changed after seeing real results
• the part of the process you normally skip over
• your real personality and human-ness

so show the tradeoffs, constraints, the imperfect execution.
what makes us truly humans, all giving our best go at this.

bc people don’t trust you because you sound smart.
they trust you because they understand how you think.

AI will keep raising the baseline.
but ultimately humans still win on depth and being real.

It would drive most people crazy 😂

You’re expected to be a copywriter, strategist, videographer,
Social media manager, designer, and editor…

All before lunch.

Where a “job description” is more of a suggestion.

Is it the ideal situation? Not really.

You think you only need a Social Media Manager? Cute.

What you actually need is a marketing team.

Here’s the pattern I see over and over:

A founder wants to “go viral.”
So they hire one Social Media Manager (whatever that means).

Next thing you know, that one person is covering half your marketing function.

↳ Ask about their goals first, then share yours. 
↳ Curiosity builds trust faster than pitching.

4. The 48-Hour Connection Rule
↳ Reach out within 48 hours of meeting someone. 
↳ Wait too long, and momentum dies.

5. The One-Liner Strategy
↳ If you can't explain what you do in one clear sentence...
↳ People won't remember you. 

6. Relationship Multiplier
↳ Your reputation spreads faster than your resume. 
↳ What you consistently deliver becomes what people say about you.

7. Introduction by Value
↳ When connecting two people, explain why it matters for both of them. 
↳ Give context and make it easy.

8. The Listening Rule
↳ Listen 75% of the time, speak 25%. 
↳ People remember how you made them feel, not what you said.

9. The Energy Test
↳ Only network when you're in the right headspace. 
↳ Low energy kills first impressions.

10. The Selective System
↳ Quality beats quantity every time. 
↳ Ten strong connections beat 100 weak ones.

11. Room-Reading Rule
↳ Read the room before jumping into conversations. 
↳ Timing and awareness create opportunities.

Your network will determine your net worth.

But it will also determine your future, your place in the world, 
And who has your back when you need it most.

Use these six frameworks to make your message land:

The Pyramid Principle:
↳ Use it to make a strong, logical case fast.

- Start with the conclusion.
- Support it with 2–4 reasons.
- Add detail once the logic is clear.

What? → So what? → Now what?:
↳ Turn raw information into a clear plan.

- What: State the facts.
- So what: Explain why they matter.
- Now what: Name the decision, the owner, and the deadline.

3 Levels of Listening:
↳ Deepen trust and understand what's really being said.

- Self-focused: Listening through your own agenda.
- Speaker-focused: Full attention on the other person.
- System-focused: Reading the room and what's unsaid.

PREP Method:
↳ Handle tough questions with clarity under pressure.

- Point: Lead with your takeaway.
- Reason: Explain why it matters.
- Example: Give proof or a story.
- Point: Restate the takeaway to close.

RACI Matrix:
↳ Prevent stalls and role confusion on critical initiatives.

- Responsible: Who's doing the work.
- Accountable: Single owner of the outcome (only one).
- Consulted: Voices that strengthen the work.
- Informed: People who need updates, not input.

COIN Feedback Model:
↳ Give direct, fair, actionable feedback.

- Context: Who, what, when, where.
- Observation: What you saw or heard.
- Impact: How it affected results or the team.
- Next Steps: What to do differently going forward.

These frameworks don't just improve communication. 

They improve how people perceive your value.

Start communicating like a leader, and people will respect you as a leader.

Until you actually see what it takes. 

Everyone has an opinion on marketing.

“Just send a few emails.”
“Can we make it punchier?”
“Why isn’t this blowing up yet?”

As if results come from vibes and adjectives.

Meanwhile, real marketers are balancing a dozen moving parts at once.

Here’s just some of what a legit marketer needs to know:

🧠 User psychology 
🔁 Offer iteration
⚙️ Funnel structure 
🧲 Lead gen strategy 
🎨 Creative direction
✍️ Writing copy that sells
📊 Analytics and attribution
📈 How to convert attention into action
📣 How to keep a brand sounding like one voice
🧵 How to tell the right story in the right order
🎯 Knowing exactly who you’re for (and who you’re not)
🧍 Knowing the buyer better than they know themselves

And that’s just scratching the surface.

Marketing sits at the crossroads of
Human behavior, creativity, economics, and psychology.

So no, it’s not just “posting on Instagram.”

🚫 Miss the mark, and even a great product struggles.
✅ Nail it, and average products outperform everyone.

That’s why you’re not paying marketers for their hours.
You’re paying them for their ability to drive attention, trust, and revenue.

So either put in the time to learn it properly,
Or trust the people who already have.

There’s a concept more people need to understand: 

The Paradox of Knowledge.

When I first started GrowRev, I thought knowing more was the goal.

Because surely the smarter I got, the easier everything would feel, right?

Nope. 
Turns out, it works the opposite way.

The more you learn about business, the harder it starts to feel.

Because when you’re new, everything seems simple.

You trust your gut. You make a call and deal with the outcome.

Then you start getting smarter.

You learn what can go wrong and see 10 different ways something might fail.

And suddenly you slow down.

Not because you’re incapable.
But because once you see more, it’s easier to talk yourself out of moving.

That’s the paradox.

I see this constantly with capable people.

They’ve done the learning. They’ve put in the time.
And they still don’t move.

All because they’re waiting to feel ready.

But every successful founder I know figured things out while they were already in motion.

They didn’t wait for the perfect answer.
They made the best call they could, then adjusted.

That’s how things actually come together.
Not sitting still and thinking harder.

This is also where your network plays a way bigger role than people admit.

Learning alone makes everything feel heavier.
Learning around others gives you context.

Because that's when you actually realize no one has it fully figured out.

You see how decisions get made in real life, not theory.
You stop thinking you’re behind and start moving again.

If you feel stuck right now, it’s probably not a discipline problem.

It’s thinking without moving.

So here’s the reframe:

You don’t need the perfect move.
You need the next reasonable one.

Build while you learn.
Decide, then refine.
Move, then correct.

That’s how businesses actually get built.
And that’s where real confidence comes from.

That’s the Paradox of Knowledge.
