Last night, I attended a beautiful event that reminded me why I still show up to networking spaces — even in a digital-first world.

For me, networking isn’t just about exchanging business cards or talking strategy.

It’s about connection.

Sometimes it’s meeting someone new.
Sometimes it’s reconnecting with familiar faces.
And sometimes — like last night — it’s both.

I had the chance to listen to an inspiring panel featuring:

What makes it meaningful is the history:

🕯️ Jerry presented my uncle with a certificate for his 100th birthday back in 2019.

🕯️ And he did the same for Irma’s mom in 2017.

Those aren’t just coincidences — they’re reminders that community is smaller than we think… and relationships last longer than we realize.

I go to events like this with three simple intentions:

This year, we skipped Black Friday shopping — and chose connection instead.

Yesterday I had a Friendsgiving dinner in Santa Monica with a friend, her daughter, and my mom. No rushing, no crowds, no deals, no pressure.

Just conversation.
 Warm food.
 Laughter.
 Stories.
 Presence.

And sitting there, I realized something:

We live in a world that’s always chasing the next thing — the newest sale, the next upgrade, the next milestone, the next achievement.

But sometimes the most valuable things in our life aren’t things at all.

They’re the moments we slow down enough to feel.

🟡 A shared meal.
 🟡 A familiar laugh.
 🟡 Time with people we care about.
 🟡 Memories that can’t be added to a cart.

As someone who’s ambitious and always building, I needed that reminder.
Success isn’t just about growth, productivity, or output.

Sometimes success looks like choosing relationships over rush.

 Presence over pressure.
 Joy over noise.

So today, I’m grateful — not for what I bought, but for what can’t be bought.

When I first heard the phrase “Build your personal brand,” I honestly rolled my eyes.

I thought it meant logos... colors… fancy websites…
You know — the surface-level stuff.

But the real challenge wasn’t design.
It was figuring out:

What do I want to be known for?

How do I communicate my value?

Why would someone choose me over someone else?

And the truth?

I didn’t have the answers.

I felt overwhelmed.
Lost.
Unsure where to start.

So I avoided it… because avoidance felt easier than getting it wrong.

Fast forward to today, and here’s what I’ve learned:

👉 Your personal brand is not optional — it’s the competitive advantage.

It’s how you:

Attract the right clients

Build trust without chasing people

Create opportunities you didn’t even know existed

Become the person others recommend — even when you’re not in the room

My journey from confusion → clarity is now the work I’m obsessed with helping others do.

Because once your message is clear and your presence feels aligned?

Showing up online stops feeling scary — and starts feeling powerful.
