Your ChatGPT/Claude/Gemini  will know your industry, your role, your past conversations, your preferences. When you ask for marketing advice, it won't give you the same answer it gives everyone else.

It'll factor in that you're B2B SaaS, that you've mentioned budget constraints before, that you prefer data-driven approaches.

Universal LLM rankings become meaningless when every response is contextually unique.

The brands winning in this reality won't be the ones gaming today's AI outputs. Instead, they'll be the ones building genuine authority with their ICPs that AI models trust across contexts.

TL;DR  tracking your "position" in a system designed to give everyone different answers is the new vanity metric.

What an SEO sprint actually looks like (with real numbers)

I've just created a list of hot 608 leads in the market for one of my clients' product based on just one competitor's post within 15 minutes while checking e-mails and drinking coffee.

Years ago, I learned from Dean Jackson about visible and invisible prospects. 

If you're selling roofing, houses with an old, partly damaged roof are visible prospects. Send them flyers or knock on their door.

It's tougher to get invisible prospects raise their hands, 
but your bigger competitors might be doing you a favor,
getting THEIR followers to raise their hand for you.

Such a raise of hands happens all the time on LinkedIn, but I've yet to see someone leverage it:

Imagine your competitor publishing a post saying "Comment GROWTH on this post to receive our framework to do XYZ."

The list of commenters below ... is a raise of hands of people who would love to have what that person promises.

Chances are, they're largely similar to your ideal client.

Now, fetch those names and linkedin profiles, and hand them over to sales
to follow up very timely (they want this NOW).

PS: Don't think of scraping those data points manually, use Claude Code and you'll already have this feature ready when the next competitor wants to hand them over their post campaign's results on a silver platter.

When you pause a moment to think about it, it's just mind-blowing:

We live in a time where I can 

1. watch a conversation between Rand Fishkin and Michael King about AI search optimization (great talk btw) and while I'm watching it,

2. head over to chatgpt to brainstorm an idea for an app

3. take this idea to Gemini to formulate an SRS for development

4. take the SRS to Windsurf and get it to code a prototype using Anthropic Claude Opus 4.5

5. Add DataForSEO's API

and now, 2 hours later, have a working prototype of a rank tracker that tracks keywords + their fanout queries that I want to consider.

This provides me with a quick, overall idea of my client's topic-relevant visibility vs. their competitors, which we can use as one part of the visibility analysis.

Is it ready for production? No, of course not (yet).

Does it look pretty? Not really.

Does this approach still have flaws? Sure!

Is it good enough to run some tests for my clients and maybe share a few screenshots when they ask about their status in top fanout queries?

Heads-up: I now have access to Google's new Business Agent feature in Merchant Center for several US accounts.

This was part of Google's major announcement yesterday related to new tools for the agentic shopping era.

If you work in eCommerce SEO, there is now another reason why you should be paying even closer attention to your product feeds and GMC Next.

The new Business Agent tab in GMC Next allows you to claim your brand to start customising your agent to answer customer questions, recommend products and more.

In the coming months, retailers will be able to train the agent based on their data, access new customer insights, provide offers for related products and enable direct purchases — including agentic checkout — within the experience.

It’s like a virtual sales associate that can answer product questions in a brand’s voice, enabling retailers to connect with consumers during critical shopping moments and help drive sales.

The one question that ended three weeks of paralysis.

A client came to a call stuck. He'd been trying to make a hiring decision for three weeks. Should he hire this person? Should he wait? Should he look for someone better?

He'd gone back and forth so many times he was exhausted.

I stopped him. Would you rather have this person, or nobody?

He paused. This person.

Then hire them.

But what if—

No. You just answered the question. Hire them.

He laughed. Then realized I was serious.

Here's what kills a lot of people. They think more thinking equals better decisions. But there's a point where thinking becomes hiding. You're not being thorough. You're being scared. You're putting it off.

Most decisions are reversible. The power in most decisions is in the hindsight. That's when you review what you did and learn from it.

If you hire someone and it doesn't work, you let them go and do it again with all that feedback in hindsight.

Plus hiring is a great deal. You hire people on an installment plan. It might not work for them, might not work for you. So might as well get started instead of deferring forever.

If you launch an offer and it flops, you change it.

The cost of a wrong decision is almost always lower than the cost of no decision.

Because no decision means no progress. And no progress means you're stuck exactly where you are.

My client hired the person the next day. Three months later, still there, doing good work. Not perfect, but good enough. That freed him up to focus on the next thing.

Here's the framework. When you're stuck on a decision, ask yourself: is this reversible?

If yes, make the call. You can always adjust later.

If no, sleep on it. Your grandparents were right. But only once.

Most decisions don't deserve three weeks of your mental bandwidth. They deserve 10 minutes and a commitment to move forward.
