• This helped her understand how her team approached problems.
• It also gave them space to show their intelligence instead of defending their work.

𝟯. 𝗦𝗵𝗲 𝗴𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗰𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗱𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻.
• She stopped assuming people already knew what great looked like.
• She spelled out the vision, the why and the standard.
• Clarity lifted pressure and replaced it with focus.
• Her team stopped guessing and started delivering with confidence.

There’s a moment high performers rarely talk about.

Not burnout.
Not a crisis.
A quiet knowing:

“𝗜 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗸𝗲𝗲𝗽 𝗱𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀…
𝗜’𝗺 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗜 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗼 𝗶𝘁 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝘆𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲.”

I first felt it years ago when I was still in big tech.

On paper: great title, great team, great trajectory.
In rooms: steady, trusted, clear.

Everything “worked.”
But inside, something had shifted.

It wasn’t confusion,
it was evolution.

And here’s the part no one teaches us:

When your identity evolves faster than your career,
you don’t feel lost.
You feel 𝗺𝗶𝘀𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗲𝗱.

I used to make decisions from 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆,
what’s smart, expected, proven. 

But now?
I make decisions from 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗿𝘂𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲,
what’s aligned, energizing, true.

I didn’t burn anything down to make that shift.
I simply began choosing differently...

• cleaner meetings,
• braver asks,
• tighter boundaries,
• work that fit the woman I was becoming.

And clarity didn’t arrive as answers.
It arrived as 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗳.

If your inner question is shifting
from “𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗜 𝗱𝗼?”

There’s a room I’d love you to be in.

A room where ambition doesn’t need proof.
Where you don’t have to shrink to fit.
Where alignment is the strategy.

High achievers don’t burn out because they’re weak.
They burn out because they’re trained

misses the point.

Burnout doesn’t start with a breakdown.
It starts quietly:

• Creativity narrows
• Patience shortens
• Thinking feels heavier
• The same output takes more effort
• Your energy stops matching your ambition
  
That isn’t failure.
It’s 𝗺𝗶𝘀𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁

Between what you’re carrying and
what your system can support right now.

High achievers are taught to treat
these cues as a challenge: 

• don’t slow down,
• push harder,
• don’t listen.

But your body isn’t saying 𝘲𝘶𝘪𝘵.
It’s saying 𝘱𝘢𝘺 𝘢𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯.

Listening isn’t weakness.
It’s how you stay sharp and effective for the long run.

If someone in your network is pushing past their signals,
𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀.

It might give them language for what
they’ve been powering through.

Most people think people‑pleasing is kindness.
But for many high‑achieving women,
it becomes something else:

A habit of 𝗽𝘂𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲.

Every time you say 𝘺𝘦𝘴 to avoid disappointing someone,
you end up saying 𝘯𝘰 to yourself:
your energy, your time, your wellbeing.

And here are the truths most women don’t realize:

1️⃣ 𝗣𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲‑𝗽𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘀𝗻’𝘁 𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀, 𝗶𝘁’𝘀 𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳 𝗮 𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝘁 𝗮 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲.
When everyone else comes first, your body learns your comfort and peace are optional.

2️⃣ 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗼𝗳 𝗯𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘂𝘀𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝗽𝘂𝘀𝗵 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘀𝗲𝘁 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘀.
Not because you’ve changed for the worse but because the new you isn’t as convenient.

3️⃣ 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳, 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝗿𝗲. 
Confidence grows when you honour your voice, not when you silence it for approval.

Saying “no” doesn’t make you difficult.
It makes you 𝗰𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿.

And clarity is what rebuilds identity,
one decision at a time.

Save this for the days you start slipping back into old patterns.
It’s your reminder that choosing yourself is a skill, not a problem.

𝗠𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗱𝗼𝗻’𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗴𝗴𝗹𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻.
𝗧𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗴𝗴𝗹𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙧‑𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣.

We’ve been conditioned to believe that fast responses signal reliability.

But in reality, 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘢𝘷𝘢𝘪𝘭𝘢𝘣𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘺 sends the opposite message:
that your time, focus, and energy are always for the taking.

Here’s what actually happens when you stop replying the second a notification hits your phone:

1️⃣ 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝘁 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀. People recognize you’re not “on call.” You’re a professional with priorities and a workflow.

2️⃣ 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺 𝘀𝗹𝗼𝘄𝘀 𝗱𝗼𝘄𝗻. You shift out of reactivity and back into intentional, high‑quality work.

3️⃣ 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗻𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁. When access isn’t immediate, your time becomes something others value.

4️⃣ 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗿𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿‑𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲. Teams grow faster when they stop defaulting to the person who responds first.

5️⃣ 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗱𝗲𝗲𝗽 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸. Every interruption fractures concentration. Responding when 𝘺𝘰𝘶 choose keeps your brain online.

6️⃣ 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀. A 5-minute pause often leads to a clearer, more strategic response.

7️⃣ 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗹𝗮𝗶𝗺 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗼𝘂𝘁𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸. You weren’t meant to live in reaction to notifications.

𝗔 𝘀𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗜 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀:
Define communication windows...
intentional moments when you respond,
instead of reacting all day long.

Your presence becomes more powerful when it’s not constant.

𝗖𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀: Is this something you're actively working on this year?

Most women don’t stay stuck because they’re confused.

They stay stuck because they’re waiting for certainty

𝗮 𝗺𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗵𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘁𝘆, 𝗰𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝘁𝗵.

𝟮. 𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘄𝗮𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴.
• Do not wait for the perfect moment.
• Contribute before the room circles back to you.
• Initiative builds presence.

𝟯. 𝗛𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻.
• Interruptions happen. Derailments happen.
• Bring it back with, "I am going to finish my point" or "Let me take us back to the question".
• This is quiet authority.

𝟰. 𝗨𝘀𝗲 𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳 𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗸.
• Not hype. Truth.
• e.g., "I have done this before." "I know my craft." "I have solved harder problems."
• This steadies your body.

𝟱. 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘆 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗲𝗱.
• Challenge does not mean you are wrong. It means your thinking matters.
• Try, "Yes and the rationale still stands because..."
• You stay in the room instead of shrinking.

When you practice these habits,
your voice feels stronger
your presence feels cleaner
your confidence becomes consistent

even in rooms that once felt intimidating.

The most unforgiving sport in the world has something to teach you.
 
Biathlon. Full-sprint cross-country skiing — then stop. Rifle up. 

Shoot five targets the size of a silver dollar from 50 meters.
 
Heart hammering at 180 BPM.
 
Miss one? Penalty loop. Race over.
 
The sport does NOT care how hard you trained. It doesn't care about your credentials, your integrity, your creativity, your sacrifice (over years), your network, or how fast you were on the course. 

In the moment of truth — you either regulate, or you lose.
 
Sound familiar?
 
Because this is also: the boardroom when the deal turns. The person who extracts 2 hours of your best thinking — then can't find a single door to open in return. The new contact who walks into the room with your idea and introduces it as their own. The ones who win - in biathlon, in business, 𝗶𝗻 𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗺𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺 - are the ones who master the transition.  

Extreme intensity. Total calm. The ability to go from full sprint to perfectly still, take dead aim, and execute with precision while everything inside them is on fire.
 
That is not suppression. That is 𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨.
 
High performers don't fail from lack of talent.
 
They fail from an unregulated nervous system dressed up as strength.
 
Chronic pressure doesn't announce itself. It quietly erodes focus.

Biathlon is one of the most demanding sports on earth — athletes cross-country ski at FULL SPRINT,  then must 𝘪𝘯𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘵𝘭𝘺 calm their bodies enough 𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘰𝘵 𝘢 𝘳𝘪𝘧𝘭𝘦 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘴𝘯𝘪𝘱𝘦𝘳 𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘪𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘯. 

Heart rate slams from 180 to perfectly still. In seconds.
 
Dora Weirer is one of the best in the world at it. 
Austrian. 
Fearless. 
Technically flawless.
 
Watch this reel. The stillness before the shot. The locked-in focus. The absolute 𝘰𝘸𝘯𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘱 of her moment.
 
And then — that crowd. The Energy!

I felt it in my bones. Because I see this same energy building quietly .... ohhhh so  quietly......everywhere - yes even in in wealth where many of the conferences are rooms where its 75-85% men. 
 
Women will receive 60+% of the $84–124 trillion Great Wealth Transfer. (BoA, 2025)
 
$𝟱𝟰 𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘇𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 — spouse to spouse — 95% to widows. (Cerulli, 2025)
 
Another $47 trillion flows to younger women through inheritance. (McKinsey, 2025)
 
By 2030, women may control $34 trillion in U.S. investable assets alone.
 
𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗮𝗹𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗱.
 
But there are some other stats that have my full attention - 
 
80% of women who've already inherited faced significant challenges. (UBS, 2025). 1 in 3 had zero conversations beforehand. 4 in 10 inherited with no plans in place.
 
The world is CHEERING. (𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘈𝘙𝘌 𝘭𝘢𝘥𝘪𝘦𝘴 - 𝘐 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘮𝘪𝘴𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 - 𝘸𝘦 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘪𝘯𝘧𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘦𝘭𝘺 𝘧'𝘯𝘨 𝘱𝘰𝘸𝘦𝘳𝘧𝘶𝘭) 

But too many women are walking onto this field completely unprepared.

Who can relate? Just a tiny bit?

𝘈𝘯𝘥 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘥𝘪𝘥 𝘸𝘦 𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘨𝘦𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘰𝘯𝘭𝘺 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘩𝘦𝘭𝘱𝘴?

"Strong waves crashing, the vast expanse of emptiness  - it feels holy."
 
She set up her camera so people wouldn't worry. She just needed to lie on the ground and 𝘣𝘦. (my God do I GET that!!!)
 
About ten minutes in, another woman, a stranger, walked into the frame.
 
No advice. Simply laid down next to her. Two women. Cold sand. Breathing. Listening to the waves. 𝘍𝘦𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘣𝘦𝘪𝘯𝘨.
 
That's the whole story. And it's moved millions- because we recognize it. We 𝘢𝘳𝘦 it.
 
This particular Saturday felt heavier than most.
 
I didn't get out of bed. I know I wasn't alone in that.
 
Because somewhere between the blaring headlines, the silence from people who should be (f&&ng) speaking, and the news that a school full of girls was reduced to rubble - with the kind of precision that leaves NO room for the word 𝘢𝘤𝘤𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘯𝘵 - something in the collective female nervous system just... stopped.
 
We felt it. All of us. At the same time.
 
𝘛𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘪𝘴 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘸𝘦𝘢𝘬𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘴. 𝘛𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘪𝘴 𝘢𝘸𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘴.
 
Tubman didn't move through darkness alone. She moved through 𝘯𝘦𝘵𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘸𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘯 - candles in windows, quilts with hidden maps, hands reaching back in silence saying: 𝘐 𝘴𝘦𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶. 𝘒𝘦𝘦𝘱 𝘨𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘨.

Rosa Parks - remembered as a woman who wouldn't give up her seat. What history softens is that she was a trained strategist - part of a network of women who had been quietly, methodically planning that moment for years. The act was singular. The infrastructure behind it was entirely collective.

The good ones - the men who are paying attention- they felt it this Saturday too.

This was never about sides. It was always about BASIC human decency. And right now, that is a radical act.

Caring about humans, children, women can get you labeled "a radical." Or uninformed. 𝘎𝘢𝘴𝘭𝘪𝘵. HOW did we get here? How?
 
We are in hot water. We are strong. And we are done pretending the water is not boiling.

Pay attention to how you feel in your chest right now.
 
Your shoulders. 
 
Because the world has been 𝘭𝘰𝘶𝘥 lately. Fear is having a moment. Intolerance, division is having a moment. And somewhere between the headlines, speeches and the noise, 𝗮 𝗹𝗼𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘂𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗼𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗷𝗼𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗮 𝗿𝗲𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗺 𝗱𝗼𝘄𝗻.
 
𝘑𝘰𝘺 𝘪𝘴 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘢 𝘳𝘦𝘸𝘢𝘳𝘥 𝘢𝘵 𝘢𝘭𝘭.
 
The Taoists call it 𝘗'𝘶 -the uncarved block. The original state. 𝘉𝘦𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘦 the fear gets in. Before we learned to brace.
 
Lao Tzu did not say: wait until the world makes sense, then soften. He said: 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘰𝘧𝘵 𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘥.

(read that again because we are all witnessing it in real time, if we pay attention to the sparks of light....everywhere).
 
We can focus on everything falling apart. Lord knows there is enough of it.
 
Or we can choose - with full eyes open, with intention - to also see this:
 
A kid who made a new friend by yelling "𝘞𝘢𝘯𝘯𝘢 𝘣𝘦 𝘢 𝘥𝘳𝘢𝘨𝘰𝘯?" A man who asked his dog if they should split a croissant. The tail answered. A child who held a crumpled leaf to the light and whispered, "𝘚𝘵𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘺."

𝘐 𝘴𝘦𝘦 𝘪𝘵 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦 - the mother pushing her child in a stroller who looks up and locks eyes with mine and smiles. The neighbor mowing his lawn that nods his head in the bright sun as I pass. The two five year olds screeching down the street on their bikes, racing, ecstatic. The sound of snow falling.  Magic.
 
𝘑𝘰𝘺 𝘪𝘴 𝘩𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘦𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨. 𝘌𝘷𝘦𝘯 𝘪𝘧 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘤𝘢𝘯'𝘵 𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘭 𝘪𝘵 𝘺𝘦𝘵.
 
The voice of real leadership - in a boardroom, in a family, in a legacy - INSPIRES. It does not instill fear. It does not shrink the room.

The voice of true leadership has always been love. Not weakness. Not naivety. 𝘓𝘰𝘷𝘦. The kind that expands a room.

Fear may be louder. 𝘉𝘶𝘵 𝘪𝘵 𝘩𝘢𝘴 𝘯𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳, 𝘪𝘯 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘰𝘧 𝘩𝘶𝘮𝘢𝘯 𝘩𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘳𝘺, 𝘣𝘶𝘪𝘭𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘺𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘭𝘢𝘴𝘵𝘴.
 
There is a new wave. It is quieter, persistent, warmer, growing... and far more powerful than anything built on fear. And it is 𝘥𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘤𝘪𝘰𝘶𝘴.
 
This ethos - of joy, of laughter, of inspiration - is what I bring into every workshop I lead. Because it CONNECTS. Joy isn't a sidebar. It is the foundation - for longevity, for legacy, for the kind of wealth that actually sustains a life.
 
If something in your chest just shifted...
