I’m serious. In Q4 at least 7 companies told us that when they mentioned Sybill to their Gong rep, reps literally offered them a 50% discount.

I don't totally blame them though. Gong reps are working with a bloated platform, strapped-on AI, and no transparent pricing. They have to bring out the scissors and cut prices when more AI-native tools like Sybill enter the conversation.

2. Expectations are shifting.

At Sybill we make little problems big.

Here's a story we've all heard before:
"yeah, their customer service used to be great. Then they grew and now it sucks."

I'm fighting like hell to make sure this isn't the case for us.

Last week we launched Dark Mode, and one of our customers wasn't seeing it in the app.

They left a comment sharing the issue. Within an hour they got:

a comment back from  Collin Mayjack,
a LinkedIn DM and email from Shivansh Singh,
an email from my cofounder Nishit Asnani (Hiring Founding AEs),
AND a fix from our dev team.

A little overkill for a bug? Maybe. But I wouldn't trade it.

Our team treats the smallest customer problems like big problems, and customers notice. 💙

Was it dumb of us to launch a new feature a week before Christmas? Maybe.
Is that feature still really damn cool? You bet.

On December 18, we launched Sybill in Slack.

We saw that sellers were constantly switching back and forth between Slack and Sybill.

So we cut the back and forth and built Sybill in Slack. 

Now Sybill users can ask Sybill questions about their deals without leaving Slack. 

No more context switching.

Just tag Sybill, ask your deal question, and hit send.

Sybill will dig through your calls, emails, and CRM and reply with your answer.

Sybill in Slack is now available for all Sybill users. Happy New Year.

🔔 Cyber Market Monday Update - Headlines from last week 👇 

▪️Spirit, which according to CTech by Calcalist, “employs 10 people and remains at the concept formulation stage” raised $50M valuing them at $400M while still landing on a product idea…? Only been around 3 months so that part is normal but the valuation seems rich! Cyberstarts led the funding round. 

▪️Cyera raised another $400M in a Series F round from Blackstone valuing them at $9B! This is 6 months after they raised $540M at a $6B valuation. This brings their total funding to $1.7B!

▪️CrowdStrike announced the acquisition of SGNL an AI Identity Access Management solution for $740M! Prior to being acquired they had raised a total of $42M across 2 rounds. 

▪️Torq hit’s unicorn status with their $140M Series D by Merlin Ventures, valuing them at $1.2B! The real question is, Can we look forward to another monster truck at RSA?

It wouldn’t be January if you didn’t have predictions coming from your favorite cyber vendors 😜 

Here are my favorites from what we have put out as a leadership team here at Acuvity (Reworded cause I write a little more casual):

1️⃣ There are other aspects of cybersecurity outside of AI Security! Every vendor doesn’t need to be an AI security vendor! We still have Email, Endpoint, Cloud, Network etc. All those those are still important attack vectors to secure.

2️⃣ All the investor’s betting on cheaper compute to make their AI startup investments economically make sense, will also make it increasingly easier for employees, adversaries, and others to access the powers of AI for both good and bad actions. 

3️⃣ Discovery is still the hardest aspect of AI usage. It’s not about license optimization, it’s not about browser only activity, it’s not just AI native but also traditional SaaS with AI capabilities, It’s not about just reading emails from vendors. Deep discovery of employee behavior, usage patterns, and agents is crucial for IT/security teams today.
