I said yes to something...

Leaders don't need to be liked

One action gave her more respect
Than any promotion ever did.

Respect has nothing to do with other people.

For years, she thought respect came from results.

Blind to her own potential
Something was lying to her...

She almost rejected the opportunity

My biggest growth happened in silence 
Long before anyone knew what I was doing.

The truth?

Back then, we didn't call it burnout.

He didn't come looking for a breakthrough.

I could have just written ''About Me''. But life is made up of the stories we tell. So here’s mine...

It was 2018. I'd just stepped off stage at the Global Health Summit at the Hyatt in Jacksonville after giving a talk on how AI would change Healthcare. No applause. There was complete silence, nobody got it back then. Later that night, I sat at the hotel bar, replaying the anti-climax wondering if I’d gone too far into the future. She slid into the seat beside me. Calm. Confident. “Dr Nik,” she said, with a slight smile, “Great talk…But that stuff only happens in sci-fi movies.” She didn’t mean it unkindly. She just couldn’t see it, yet. Her name, Professor X.
