What started as a fun side hustle crafting small batch, soft and delicious cookies, became a fun and exciting business that quickly outgrew our home kitchen.

In 2022, we moved our operation out of our home and into our very own production facility in Tigard, Oregon.

We use quality ingredients from companies known for their ethical treatment of animals and a commitment to sustainability, like Ghirardelli & Bob's Red Mill.

We offer nationwide shipping, DoorDash delivery, and pickup.

While working here, my key functions include strategizing and implementing a wide range of health and welfare programs across multiple locations in all of North America by staying abreast with all federal, state, and city laws. 

I also direct various locations, including Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, Salt Lake City, Chicago, Austin, New York, and Boston, as well as many remote employees. 

Furthermore, I Travel to all the locations extensively and meet with employees for Open Enrollment and benefits training. 

In addition to this, I design, evaluate, and modify benefit policies to ensure compliance and competitiveness. 

Moreover, I conduct in-person meetings to ensure employee understanding of benefits and support.
Key Accomplishments:
  • Fulfilled reporting requirements of relevant government rules and regulations, including the Employee 
    Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) and Health Care Reform.
  •Optimized service delivery by conducting audits of benefit programs and agreements, performing market 
   research, and supervising the Annual Benefits Survey.
  •Streamlined Leave of Absence and moved to advise to pay (ATP), achieving exceptional annual savings.
  •Mentored and trained team members to oversee benefits independently, resulting in increased efficiency 
   and capacity.
  •Achieved 100% score on Human Rights Campaign for four consecutive years and managed a successful 
   wellness program with initiatives reaching 85%+ participation via implementation of best practices.
  •Provided exceptional support for the company's move to self-insured medical plans (medical, dental, and 
   STD), resulting in cost savings and improved service delivery.

In this position, I proved myself as an excellent leader, as I administered health and welfare programs for employees across eight locations, processing all benefits enrollments, establishing tracking methods for billing and vendor invoices, and creating plan documents and HIPAA procedures. 

It was I who monitored and executed benefits plan compliance by creating eligibility files with all vendors and auditing plans and participants to maintain program effectiveness. 

Additionally, I managed the Workers' Compensation Program, including settlements.

Key Accomplishments:
  •Orchestrated a successful Wellness Program, including biometric screenings and challenges, and trained 
   HRBP's and Regional HR Specialist on Benefit Plans, building trust between employees and HR.
  •Replaced manual enrollments by implementing an electronic eligibility file system for enhanced

  •Completed the RFP for Excess Coverage and TPA, as well as led the installation process, boosting the 
   overall efficiency and effectiveness of the program.
  •Partnered with LOA administrator company to process leaves as well as communicated regularly with new 
   hires and active employees to foster engagement and understanding of benefits.
