Develop and maintain effective internal control procedures over all aspects of the tax process in both domestic and foreign jurisdictions.  Assist with the preparation of unclaimed property filing. Monitor legislative and regulatory tax law developments and communicate their effects to the management and tax team.

Responsibilities include the processing of unclaimed property due diligence notifications and remittance reports to over 40 states while complying with various state deadlines.  Fully responsible for the accuracy and content of the unclaimed property files.  Routinely collaborate with the operations and IT departments as related to accounting issues and process improvements.  Work closely with the IT department to maintain and improve the internal document scanning processes.  Maintain record retention data for both paper and laser scanned documentation.

Staff Accountant

Responsible for the morning operations of a package delivery center within the UPS hub facility.  Processed data inputted from various UPS computer systems for distribution to the center manager.  Printed and compiled analysis for the morning reports and other reports as requested by the center manager.  Performed audits to ensure compliance with UPS operating procedures.  Dispatched drivers to problem solve any erroneous pick up or delivery problems that arose.  Worked as a member of a team to manage 75 package car drivers.

Prepared pro forma and variance analysis for all CT refurbishments including mobile and modular units.  Monthly reconciliation of all inventory accounts and prepared journal entries.  maintained monthly parts analysis.  Solely responsible for monthly reconciliations with an Anchi, China joint venture and a satellite office in Beijing, China.  Prepared quarterly incentive bonus program for the field service engineers.  Conducted a yearly parts inventory audit.

Ibico, Inc

Prepared standard costs for 6,000 manufactured products.  Analyzed costs to determine accuracy of standards.  Implemented monthly cost reports and analysis of variances.  monitored variances of time and material from standards, explained the significance of variances and made recommendations for improvements.  Established cost accounting systems and controls.  Travelled to manufacturing facilities in Canada and Mexico to conduct twice yearly physical inventories.  Communicated with European and South American companies to assist in the creation of internal manufacturing standards and monthly cost reports.  Administered the company worldwide UPC directory.
