AI Agent vs Agentic AI

Most people use the terms AI Agent and Agentic AI like they mean the same thing.

They don’t.

The difference isn’t just semantic.
It’s architectural.

Here’s how the tech stack evolves from AI Agent → Agentic AI 👇

1. Intelligence models
- AI Agent typically relies on a single LLM with prompt → response workflows.
- Agentic AI moves toward multi-model reasoning, planner–executor setups, and hybrid inference across systems.

2. Architecture & frameworks
- AI Agent often follows a single-agent, linear execution flow.
- Agentic AI introduces multi-agent systems, goal-driven workflows, and orchestration frameworks like LangGraph, CrewAI, or AutoGen.

3. Memory systems
- AI Agent works with session memory, short-term embeddings, and basic caches.
- Agentic AI adds long-term memory layers, episodic + semantic memory, knowledge graphs, and vector databases.

4. Tool usage & actions

How much leverage can I build? 
How much more can I do? 
They get a high from it.

Use AI so they don't have to think. Not to think better. 

They're not reading. They're not critically evaluating anything. 

They're not connecting dots and bring legit judgement to the equation.

BTW you can usually find this by their ability to write clearly. Bad writing = lazy thinking.

I'm talking 10x... and it's compounding!

I've spent 200+ hours in the last two months building what I call a context operating system. For myself and for the AI agents working on my behalf.

[TIPS TO COMPOUND]

→ Curate your context. You're building a knowledge graph for yourself and every agent working for you. Your context is your moat.

→ Use AI for what it's actually good at. Fetching information. Connecting patterns. Processing at scale. Not replacing your thinking.

→ Make every process compound. Every output feeds the next input. Nothing is throwaway.

Nothing will replace the time you need to spend with it. 

PLEASE please stop trying to download some damn skill and think you're job will be done! 

Be the person that has the best know-how and knowledge and knows how to distill it all to build leverage. 

Not the one that comments on a post and produces 100x more slop daily.

Congrats to Lovable for hitting $400M in ARR! 

Wanted to share how we helped them 30X traffic to templates + content pages in the last 4 months. 

Funny thing is we pitched SAME strategy to one of their top competitors months prior. They said "we got this we don't need help." 

Nope nothing since. This was a year ago!!

That's the difference with Lovable. They're lovely to work with, move fast, and are not afraid of taking bold bets, and talking about it publicly.


I can't share all the details but the TLDR is we figure out a way with our agentic workflows + design engineer in the loop to scale high quality templates using Lovable's API. 

That combined with right strategy + right experience (one click to fork template) + strong content on page. 

We're doing multiple other things for them but the whole thing is already ROI positive (aka revenue generated surpassing total monthly investment).

WOW! Just recorded an incredible 1.5 hours with Kristin Fracchia from Gamma.

They have a 1-to-1,000,000 (!!!) employee-to-user ratio (and profitable as of last raise). Pretty wild!

7 marketers helping grow their user base of 70M.

She has a PhD in theater and critical theory.
Read 300 books in a single summer for her PhD.
She started teaching high school English at 21.
She got Rainn Wilson celebrity deal by cold emailing is agent.
She tried to bring a live horse ("unicorn") into the office.


A few highlights for me:

1. Stop hiring for confidence. Start hiring for "I never thought of that."
2. The best marketers right now are bilingual: they speak AI and human.
3. You can't build a great campaign in 3 weeks. You can ramp one up.
4. 80% of your users might not look like your team. Go find out.
5. "Don't be boring" is a strategy, not a vibe.
6. Playbooks expire. Curiosity compounds.

We went from 0 → XX,XXX visitors monthly in 3 months.

That's a ~30%+ increase in non-brand traffic for a very mature site. 

Best part is it's insanely high-intent traffic!

For this one we built 3 custom agentic workflows:

1) CVE Fetcher — Pulls CVE entries from the source API for a given date range, automatically chunking large ranges into monthly batches with rate limiting and pagination.

2) CVE Article Generator — Takes a CVE ID, enriches it with data from several key sources, then uses several agents to write a publication-ready security analysis article.

3) CVE Publisher — Pushes the finished CVE articles (with severity scores, affected software, exploit status) to the SentinelOne website for their customer-facing vulnerability database.


These agent workflows run daily with editorial oversight. 

We designed and built this with our forward-deployed engineers and design engineers.

My AI agents processed 662M tokens this month.

That's not counting Claude. Not counting the dozens of other ways I use AI every day. 


Something shifted recently. Hard to describe exactly.

It's way more about first principles thinking, good writing, and good delegation than anything technical. Knowing what to build and why is the whole game. 

Building is cheap. Code is cheap. Content is cheap.

Agents can be a force multiplier but quickly become a SH*T multiplier too!

If you distill something down to its purest essence, you can multiply that essence. But if any part is wrong -- confusing, sloppy, not what you actually mean -- that trash gets multiplied everywhere.

Context is not flooding AI with everything there is to know. It's figuring out what you actually need to know and why. Then connecting the dots.
Direction first. Speed second.

Going fast in the wrong direction is worse than going slow in the right one. If the opportunity is wrong, the direction is wrong, and every step of every execution optimizes for the wrong thing.

Be effective before you try to be efficient.

Read. 

Seriously! 

Read your damn outputs. Read them like a scientist reads experiment results.

Every single output should teach you something. Not just your agents. You. 

"Oh, I see! This happened because I framed the context differently."
"This was better because I gave it less, not more."
"This one missed because the premise was off."

That's the compounding part. 

Not just the system getting smarter. You getting smarter about the system.

Treat every output like an experiment. Change one variable. See what shifts. Most people prompt once, get a result, and move on. 

The ones getting disproportionate results are running hundreds of micro-experiments a week (even if in your head only) and actually paying attention to what comes back.
