I help amateur cyclists over 40 to cycle faster and recover quicker.

With over a decade of experience working as a health consultant and trainer, I've delivered over 30,000 health assessments and supported my clients to perform at their best.

As a keen amateur cyclist myself, I know what is it like to struggle and see no improvements despite hours of cycling each week. 

Plus, being middle-aged myself, I know how vital it is to manage the body well to get the best out of it.

Nutrition, sleep, mindset, rest and recovery play just as big of a part in making you a better cyclist than just more hours riding. 

So at Damerell Coaching, we support our clients one-to-one to tailor a programme that is based around their individual needs and challenges. No cooker cutter programme!

As a result, we've seen fantastic results in helping our clients lose weight, improve their watts per kg and overall, improve their confidence on the bike so they can enjoy the sport as much as possible.

Nuffield Health

Supported the running of the gym’s health MOT service to support members through their fitness journey.
Worked with fitness instructors and personal trainers to give the members a tailored programme supporting their health requirements and goals.

Successfully grew a circuit class from 4 members to 20 by building rapport and respect while delivering fresh, exciting and challenging workouts each week.

Personally raised £500 for Sport Relief by taking part in every exercise class on the timetable for a week.

Fitness Coach

-Managed a small team to deliver a pilot wellness at-work scheme to 120 members of staff across 4 Environment Agency sites in the South West.

-Built a collaborative relationship with UCP Marjon and the Environment Agency to recruit staff, access consumables and arrange a timeline of events over a 6-week intervention. 

- Supported the running of the programme during the 6-weeks by delivering weekly health newsletters and access to online support to the staff. 

- Successfully saw an 8% improvement in Total and HDL cholesterol following the intervention.

Helping and guiding individuals through a 6-week rehab programme. Providing support and educational advice to improve their well-being.

One to One Lifestyle Coaching and health assessments for business and individuals.

Over the last decade, I have conducted over 30,000 health assessments for companies across the UK and Ireland. During that time I was part of the team recognised as one of the top UK health and well-being providers.  

Then in 2022, I walked away. 

Tired of the constant travelling and its impact on my health (Ironic don’t you think) and frustrated by the little impact health assessments alone could deliver, I knew deep down I could offer more to people looking to better their health. 

My own experience participating in numerous triathlons, marathons and Ironman’s, alongside a decade of experience supporting clients to lose weight led me to launch Damerell Coaching. 

To Help cyclists 40 plus lose weight, and gain strength without hours riding their bike. Supporting their mental and physical well-being to improve their health & and longevity.

Since then

→ Duncan lost 14 kg in 10 weeks and gained 20 watts to his FTP.

→ Joe is eating more mindfully and managing stress better

→ Michael lost 5 kg in 12 weeks and is climbing stronger
