Though the company name is a play on my last name Flaris, it was born from one of my favorite Maya Angelou passages “Determine to live life with flair and laughter.” I was humbled to be described in a testimonial by one CEO as a “Combination of Tony Robbins and Simon Sinek”, while another CEO referenced my “Rare storytelling ability to hold the attention of a large audience.”

During my career, I’ve been a founding partner in a cable TV startup that later sold as part of a package for 1.7 billion dollars. Then in 2008, I executed on my idea and strategic vision to lead a magazine publisher out of print and into a digital organization early on, changing the culture and future trajectory of the company. I take pride in being an authentic sales engineer who can connect the dots between technology and sales process through storytelling, impactful writing, video, and unique infographics that create aha moments for internal and external stakeholders. I know right from wrong, continue to learn, and know what it takes to build a collaborative high performance team.

I love inspiring and working with people from all walks of life, no matter what age or stage they're at in their career. I lead by example, do it with a smile, a clean sense of humor, and of course flair! I had a conversation with a group of leaders about how they and their teams may feel like they’re running on empty as we approach Thanksgiving and the end of the year.
 
Heavy sighs, heads nodding in agreement, along with some nervous laughter filled the room.
 
Though the possibility of earning a year-end bonus, trophy, or a trip to someplace tropical is rewarding, it doesn’t seem to fill the void.
 
When your human tank is empty be it now or any time during the year, I suggested refocusing on service, learning, energy, family/friends, faith, and passion as a way to realign with your why.
