My worst performing LinkedIn posts in 2025 got 1K reach.
My best got 500K.
Here's what I learned.

The problem most people face (including me!)

You spend hours writing LinkedIn posts. 
You follow all the "rules." 
You post consistently.

And you get… nothing.

Maybe 20 likes. 
A few comments from colleagues. 
Or vendors wanting to sell you something.

So you think the algorithm hates you. 
Or that LinkedIn is dead. 
Or that content doesn't work anymore.

But that's not the real problem.
The real problem is this: creating content that looks like content.

Generic insights.
Vanilla opinions.

And safe content gets ignored.

My top 5 posts hey had nothing in common on the surface.

A video of my team shirtless on a boat. 
A screenshot of an OpenAI job opening. 
A full budget breakdown. 
A meme about Product Marketing chaos. 
A carousel about becoming a customer from cold email.

Different formats. 
Different topics. 
Different styles.

But they all did the same thing: they gave something real.

Real numbers. 
I shared our exact $1.2M marketing spend and $31M in new ARR.

Real stories. 
I wrote about paying for a tool because of one good cold email. 
About content finally being valued.

Real pain. 
I listed every Product Marketing red flag people secretly live with but never say out loud.

And every single one took time and personal input before I used my AI agent to review it.
No shortcuts. 

Just effort put into something (I hope) worth reading.

BONUS (and good news)
My 6th best performing LinkedIn post took 15 seconds.
A screenshot of my followers at 5,999. 
One word: "Anyone?"

It performed better than posts I spent hours on.

Because sometimes just being human and breaking your own pattern works.

What this means for 2026.

Chasing the algorithm never really worked for me.
