I was a growth marketer at Upsy Shopping Helper, a startup that helps online shoppers find the best deals and products. I am a CRM and marketing automation specialist at Upseller, a company that provides sales and marketing solutions for B2B clients. 

I have a strong background in business strategy, digital marketing, and project management.

I had the chance to present our Salesforce solution to an experienced consultant this week. Her feedback gave me plenty to think about.

#1 🪴People don’t buy the product. They buy the reason behind it — what’s in it for them.

As a technical solution builder, I focus on how/what id the solution and forget why it matters. It’s not a new idea, but it’s easy to lose sight of when you’re deep in the technical details. A note to myself: start with why. The how can come later.


#2 🪴Great consultants don’t just build solutions. They translate them.

When presenting a solution, my audience is rarely one type of person. I may have decision-makers, financial minds, and technical experts in the same room. Each listens for something different. My language needs to adapt to all of them.

A big shout-out to our trainer Suvi Saarnilaakso. Her's sessions helped me configure and adopt Salesforce at lightspeed. In just 6 days, I went from data model setup to building a landing page, embedding a form, and delivering a complete solution. Every story she shared in real life business expand my horizon.

I’ve always loved building in HubSpot. Now bringing that same flow into Salesforce has opened a whole new side of CRM for me.

Working as #MarOps is 50% technical + 50% understanding business.
B2B SaaS processes are often similar but the tools/CRM systems vary.

Wrapping up week 2 of the Salesforce Specialist Training with Accenture.
I got a lovely award for scoring highest in knowledge challenge. 
Small thing yet it made my day.

What stood out to me this week is comparing 2 #CRM admin system: 
HubSpot vs Salesforce.

As a Marketing Ops professional, I note that Salesforce gives me more room to customize, designing operations logic and data structure to a granular level. HubSpot is more about configuring features.

Depending on the company's needs. People decide their CRM. I don't see the need to tell which one is better.

In my experience: Marketing often uses #HubSpot. Sales uses Salesforce. Or complex business types would use Salesforce. HubSpot is easy to adopt and fix. #Salesforce often serves sales or broader operations because it can handle complex business logic.

A trainer in our program even built an app in Salesforce to manage her shoe collection. That showed me how powerful customization can be. It comes as a package: a company would need a Salesforce specialist to build the system.

End of the day no matter which CRM you use the system should reflect the business process not the other way around.

I wanted tighter alignment between Sales and Marketing.
 And I wanted to get up to speed with the newest #HubSpot features.
 So I completed HubSpot’s ABM Bootcamp.

ABM isn’t new to me.
 I’ve used it for years to target the right accounts, personalize outreach/campaign, and focus on the actions that push deals forward.

What the Bootcamp did was sharpen the operational side the part where MarOps keeps the handoff between Sales and Marketing clean.

How MarOps makes ABM work:
 • document the process so both teams operate from one truth
 • align Sales and Marketing on the systems behind ABM—lead scoring, smart rules, target lists
 • stay on top of data quality so the signals are accurate

What I have my eyes on next is the AI for Marketing, Sales, and Service Bootcamp. I’m excited to dive deeper into AI solutions in HubSpot and explore how they support GTM teams from different angles.

I’m not going to Slush this year.

Instead, I’m burning my energy in Accurture, building workflows and setting up processes in Salesforce.

Still, I can’t stop myself from sneaking a peek at what’s happening in Slush. The ideas. The energy. The spark around AI, marketing ops, and Revops always gets me.

What do you like the most in Slush this year so far?

I mapped out all the tools I’ve used, owned, or earned certifications for.
 And I realized something funny.

Collecting tools feels like collecting stamps.
 Nice to look at.
 But they don’t drive the system.

🌻 The system drives them.

Once I understand funnels, handovers, scoring, routing, enrichment, workflows, and data models, every new tool becomes plug-and-play.

So I grouped the tools I use into the functions that MarOps and pre-sales teams rely on:
 CRM, data vendors, integrations, tracking, automation, marketing/sales automation, and analytics.

The stack changes.
 The logic doesn’t.
  That’s the fun part.

How do you keep up with new tools in your role?

I just completed the #Salesforce Platform Foundations certification.

I’ve seen many scaling startups use a split setup :HubSpot for marketing and Salesforce for sales.
Since I work at the intersection of both, I wanted to deepen my technical skills on the Salesforce side.

This is my first step into Salesforce configuration and it feels good to expand my admin skills into a new platform.

A lot of food for thought on how to start implementing AI projects in yesterday’s breakfast seminar between @WIT x EY Technology Solutions.

We discussed and listened to many experienced technology consultants from EY talk about AI transformation. 

Implementing technology and process stays close to my heart, so the event opened up many thoughts for me.
Here are a few highlight points:

 🪴 3 main pillars of a successful AI implementation
 • the right tools
 • the right management
 • the right mindset

🪴 We covered many real use cases of AI.
 One amazing example was using AI to adjust discount percentages for different opportunities.
 It reminded me of marketing operations work, like using AI to adjust lead scores in HubSpot.

🪴 Back to the basics, Jenny mentioned that the foundation of any AI project is data hygiene.
 I couldn’t agree more. Data quality is the foundation for CRM systems, automation, and then AI.
 If no one cleans and controls the data, “you put boo boo in the system, you get poo poo out.”
