I grew through marketing roles, from initially being the Inbound and HubSpot Expert to building my own Marketing Team in India to becoming a Global Marketing and Customer Success Leader, owning the Marketing and overall growth strategies as part of the Management Team.

Vandaag was zo'n dag tijdens de "AI voor Sales"-training bij Bruil.

Gerard had een vlammend betoog over hoe AI je verkoop juist menselijker kan maken.

Ik had het zelf niet beter kunnen verwoorden.

Want als ik met verkoopteams praat, hoor ik zelden: "Ik vind klantgesprekken voeren zo zwaar."

Wat ik wél hoor:
"Ik ben na een dag vol afspraken nog twee uur bezig met verslagen."
"Die offerte kost me elke keer weer een ochtend."
"Ik weet niet eens meer wat er vorige maand met die klant besproken is."

Dat zijn geen verkoopproblemen. Dat zijn administratieproblemen.

En die lost AI op.

Zodat je weer tijd hebt voor het werk waar je ooit voor koos. Aandacht voor de klant. Een goed inhoudelijk advies. Maar vooral de lol van het vak.

Gisteren stonden we voor een groep mensen die dagelijks bezig zijn met commercie.

Niet met technologie. Met marketingcampagnes ontwikkelen, klanten binnenhalen, relaties onderhouden en deals sluiten.

En toch was de zaal vol.

Want de vraag die iedereen bezighoudt is niet meer óf AI iets verandert aan commerciële processen. Die vraag is al beantwoord.

De vraag is: waar begin je?

Wat ik meeneem uit gisteren:

De meeste teams zitten vast. Ze zien de mogelijkheden. Maar ze weten niet welke use case ze als eerste moeten aanpakken.

Leadopvolging automatiseren? Betere voorbereiding op klantgesprekken? Snellere en consistentere offertes schrijven?

Alles lijkt belangrijk. Dus er wordt niets gekozen.

Mijn advies: kies vandaag één proces. Eén plek waar AI morgen al tijd oplevert. Begin daar.

De rest volgt vanzelf.

AI training voor sales en marketing teams

De bouw loopt niet achter op AI omdat de tools er niet zijn.

En er is wél veel te winnen.

Gisteren spraken we daarover tijdens onze Lunch & Learn voor bouw- en installatiebedrijven samen met NextGen Workspace. De mensen in de zaal (directeuren, projectleiders, IT'ers) herkennen de kansen allemaal. Ze zien waar tijd verloren gaat. Ze weten welke processen beter kunnen.

Maar deze kennis zit vast in de hoofden van individuen. Niet in de werkwijze van het hele team.

En dat is precies waar het misgaat.

Want de bedrijven die de komende jaren het meeste winnen met AI zijn niet de bedrijven met de beste tools. Het zijn de bedrijven waar het team het daadwerkelijk gebruikt. Waar het geen pilot is van twee enthousiastelingen, maar een nieuwe standaard waar iedereen op bouwt.

Dat vraagt niet om de meest spannende toekomstvisie. Dat vraagt om één concreet beginpunt (verbeteren van je aanbestedingen, communicatie met ketenpartners of slimmer documentbeheer) en een team dat dáárop aansluit.

De techniek staat klaar. De vraag is of de organisatie erachter staat.
