I’m living the life I once prayed for…

And I’m finally enjoying it.

I am so happy, so grateful and so proud of myself for reaching this point. But there's something nobody talks about when it comes your dreams coming true. 

That if you’re not careful, they can pull you out of alignment.

A little over a month ago I submitted my book to publishers, flew to New York to speak, headed to Italy for another speaking engagement, and started filming my podcast in a proper studio (a dream I’ve held for years).

Opportunities are coming in, I'm working with clients I love and I am now free from financial strain for the first time in my 10 year career.

Over the past few years I’ve pushed myself past my capacity. I’ve made a few bad decisions from an overly busy mind (thankfully reversible). I’ve felt exhaustion creep in. And I’ve fallen ill several times because of it all. And each time I carry on like this, I end up in complete burnout. But not anymore.

I’ve now learned to do the exact opposite of what the majority would do in my position. 

I stop → slow down → reorganise → re prioritise → then get back into flow

Performer mode got me to where I am today. But that doesn’t mean achiever mode doesn’t still take over from time to time (remember that performer mode is aligned action, flow, and progress where growth happens vs achiever mode that is hustle, pressure, and unsustainable grind that pushes you into burnout).

I know this pattern well, I've spent years living in it. The flow arrives, the results follow, I get over-excited, I work harder and I do more. I push myself further and then... crash.

Fortunately, I've spent years studying my own performance and the performance of others, and I have the tools to get myself back in flow.

The one thing I want to stick with you after today is this… success doesn’t mean much if you lose yourself in the process.

It’s taken me a decade to realise that flow is not something you “find” once. It’s something you protect, over and over again. And that’s the work I’m most proud of right now (aka my ability to build a life that feels peaceful and powerful at the same time). That’s the real definition of success for me and that’s what I want to teach everyone around me.

SO many people think they need a bigger audience.

But what they actually need is a clearer brand.

Every week I meet another entrepreneur or coach who thinks they have a content problem, but what they actually have is a clarity and messaging problem.

They’re posting 3x per week, following trends, using all the “right” strategies, and trying to “crack the algorithm.” But what they don’t realise is that content can only go so far with your personal brand if people don’t actually understand who you are or what you offer.

That’s where the difference lies between a personal brand and a creator/influencer.

A creator/influencer builds to entertain or inspire. Their success depends on reach, engagement, and sponsorships.

A personal brand, on the other hand, builds to attract aligned opportunities through clients, partnerships, speaking gigs, and long-term business growth.

A creator focuses on views, whilst a personal brand focuses on value. A creator’s strategy is trend-led based on engagement, virality, and algorithms. But a personal brand’s strategy is message-led with every post tying back to their values, positioning, and expertise. Creators monetise through attention but a personal brand monetises through trust.

When it comes to personal brands and creators/influencers, neither path is right or wrong. Both can lead to success. It just depends on what kind of success you’re trying to build.

A creator might win attention quickly, but a personal brand builds credibility, authority, and opportunities that scale long after the content stops performing. Because attention fades fast, but creating trust and a strong reputation through clarity compounds over time.

A few years ago, I was sitting at my laptop at 9pm, finishing yet another “quick” client session that had quietly turned into two hours.

My energy was fading and my inbox was overflowing… And I remember thinking, how am I this exhausted… and still not earning what I know I deserve?

I told myself what most coaches do: just one more client, just one more session, then I’ll rest when things feel more stable. But stability never came. And that’s when I realised something important. 

I didn’t have a business model problem, I had a belief problem. Because I believed my worth was tied to my time.

What I wish everyone knew before launching a personal brand.

You already have one (whether you realise it or not).

It’s the reason you trust certain creators instantly, and scroll straight past others. It’s why Kim Kardashian, Taylor Swift, and Alex Hormozi can sell out almost anything instantly (their names already mean something).

A personal brand is the meaning attached to your name when you’re not in the room (or on someone’s screen). And even if you haven’t intentionally built yours yet, you already have one.

Here’s 9 things I wish more people understood before launching or scaling their personal brand…

1 | You don’t need a fancy logo or website to start. 
Your personal brand begins the moment you decide to show up (not when your website goes live). The conversations you have, ideas you share, and stories you tell shape it. 

2 | Trying to be everywhere = being nowhere.
You don’t need to master every platform. Pick one you enjoy where your energy feels natural (not forced). You’ll build trust faster showing up consistently in one place than spreading yourself thin across five.

3 | It’s not about looking perfect.
People connect with your quirks and vulnerability. You’ll overthink your captions, cringe at your first videos, and second-guess your photos. That’s part of it. Post anyway. 

4 | Clarity beats cleverness.
The most magnetic brands are the clearest. If people don’t instantly understand what you do or how you can help, they’ll keep scrolling. 

5 | You don’t need millions of followers
Ten people who truly get you, engage with you, and trust you are more powerful than ten-thousand silent scrollers. Personal branding is a connection game (not a popularity contest). 

6 | Your story is your superpower.
What feels ordinary to you might be exactly what inspires someone else. Your mistakes, pivots, and lessons are the heartbeat of your brand (not something to hide). 

7 | Consistency > intensity.
You don’t need to post every day. You just need to show up regularly enough for people to trust you’re still there. 

8 | Imposter syndrome never fully goes away.
You’ll question yourself at every stage: when you start, grow, even when you “make it.” Doubt isn’t a sign you’re not ready (it just means you care). The best way to silence that negative, anxious voice in your head is through repetition (not chasing perfection).

9 | Boundaries are self-care for your business.
Saying “no” and not being available 24/7 is part of building something sustainable. You decide your hours, rates, and energy.

In 2025, your personal brand isn’t just marketing. It’s your reputation. The thing that makes people trust, remember, and buy from you.

Ever wondered what a typical week inside amplify looks like?

People always ask me “what do you actually do in there?”

The short answer: create structure, gain clarity, and figure out how to build freedom into your life (aka how to finally feel on top of your business without needing a 10-hour workday).

Monday is your reset. You check in with your goals, see where you’re at, and plan two short deep-work sessions for the week (I recommend Tuesday and Thursday). Nothing crazy, just 2–3 focused hours total. It’s about finding your rhythm, not feeling pressure.

4 years ago on a random Wednesday morning I hit post on LinkedIn. 

It's been a wild ride since: 

– Publishing my first book
– Winning clients, losing clients
– Hitting record-breaking months
– Speaking on international stages
– Travelling & working across continents 
– Hiring my first team member (then my tenth)
– Waking up to emails from Fortune 500 brands
– Heaps of self-doubt, rejection and imposter syndrome
– Working with Wim Hof, Arthur Brooks, and Steven Bartlett

When I set out on this journey, I focused on followers, impressions, metrics - they mattered. 

But as you grow, you forget all about those, and start to focus on how posting online opens up business, friendships, opportunities - the things the numbers can't capture. 

So while hitting 50,000 followers should feel like a milestone - it doesn't. 

Because I've come to realise, it's not about the audience. It’s about the projects, conversations, people, opportunities, connections, meaning and growth that comes with it.

500 to 50,000 followers - my takeaway 

I was invited by LinkedIn to attend B2Believe, and the message was clear:

B2B is shifting faster than most teams realise. Creativity, buyer confidence, and human connection are becoming the new growth levers.

Here are my 7 core takeaways (share & save this!) 

1. Creativity is becoming the language of B2B

Creative that grabs and holds attention multiplies leads by 3x. But while 92% say consistent creative matters – only 12% deliver it. 

49% B2B decision-makers say they’re more likely to explore a company if its advertising is creative

40% B2B decision-makers say they’d be more likely to consider a purchase if the ad is seen as “creative”


2. Millennials + Gen Z now make up 71% of B2B buyers 

You need to engage them differently – they respond to: Cultural references; human stories; faces, not logos. 

87% of B2B buyers now prefer content from trusted industry influencers over brand-authored content.


3. Buyability: the new model for growth

B2B buying is slow because buyers don’t feel safe with 64% of marketers saying decisions now take longer. 

The top job-to-be-done is: “Can I defend this decision if it goes wrong?”

Buyers don’t need more information — they need more confidence.


4. Your network is a marketing asset — not a distribution channel

When employees from your target accounts follow your company, you generate 2.4x more leads.

And when senior decision-makers at those target accounts are connected to your employees, that jumps to 2.2x more leads.

You are more than 20x more likely to be bought when everyone in the Buyer Group knows you on Day One. Build brand, trust & authority with the right people. 


5. Video is non-negotiable

Jonathon Palmer said it well: Sound, movement, and visual cues trigger far stronger memory formation than static content ever can.

It generates 1.4x more engagement, meaning more people stop, watch, and interact.

And most importantly: viewers retain 95% of the message when it’s delivered via video.

Attention is scarce and recall is even scarcer. Video gives you the highest chance of being remembered — and being acted on.


6. Employee content > corporate content

B2B is shifting from logos to faces; from corporate statements to human voices.

Even when only 3% of employees post regularly, companies drive 20% more leads.

So bring your team to the forefront. 


7. Brand and demand are no longer separate

Everything now all comes down to trust, Tunji Akintokun put it: “In B2B, trust is the ultimate growth metric that closes deals.”

The era of “brand OR performance” is finished. Full-funnel integration is now a growth multiplier with always-on brand activity showing +10% conversion lift.

The brands that win in 2025 won’t be the ones who look good in reports — they’ll be the ones who move buyer groups to act.

Yet, we don't follow any of the "hacks" or "templated content" or "automated outreach" approaches that go viral on here. Because if you're selling to high-value decision makers with 7-figure deals, they won't work.

(6) Knowledge creators (educators, founders, consultants) earn 3x more than lifestyle creators with the same audience size. Depth beats aesthetics – audiences are craving insight, not aspiration. 

(7) The average enterprise spends $1.7M/year on creator collaborations, up 40% since 2022. Creator partnerships have gone from “test campaigns” to core marketing channels. 

(8) 91% of creators now use AI tools as part of their workflow – AI has turned solo creators into full production teams.

(9) Courses, newsletters and podcasts, known as the knowledge creator stack, are now the fastest-growing revenue channels in the creator economy. Creators are moving from ad-driven to IP-driven models. The goal isn’t virality – it’s ownership.

(10) 82% of consumers say they trust creators more than brand ads. In an era of AI-generated everything, human credibility is the ultimate growth moat.

The Creator Economy is only going in one direction – up!

1. Your "thought leadership" post with zero original thought is just noise. If ChatGPT could write it, why are you?

2. Posting 3x a week without strategy is worse than not posting at all. You're training your audience to ignore you.

3. 2,100 followers who buy from you beats 100k who scroll past you. I've seen clients book calls with Nvidia, HP & Shell averaging just 5 likes per post.

4. Stop chasing viral templates. Lean into your unique advantage, core IP, and the expertise only you can deliver. That's what creates category ownership.

5. Your company page isn't going to drive results. Faces drive 10x more engagement than logos - bring YOU to the forefront. 

6. "Building in public" only works if you're actually building something and sharing your lessons from the trenches. Your morning coffee routine isn't a founder story. 

7. Most founders spend 5 hours writing one post. We get 10 posts from 1 hour of conversation. You don't need more time – you need better systems.

8. Millennials and Gen Z make up 71% of B2B buyers. If you're still writing like it's 2015, you're speaking to an audience that's already left.

9. Your audience doesn't need more information. They need confidence to make decisions. Stop educating, start reassuring.

10. LinkedIn isn't a content platform. It's a trust-building platform. If you're not increasing buyer confidence, you're doing it wrong.
