What does this mean?

American's were never simply red or blue programmed zombie's. We have always been an extremely complex nation with literally every possible perspective on every subject. 

Plaid symbolizes our incredibly unique patchwork of 330 million people randomly born into fifty different states; from all races, colors, classes, ethnicities, languages, religions, genders, preferences, interests, and pursuits.  Like it or not, the lines between our different colored individual squares connect us all together under one nation, one flag and the theme that we are united in the quest for liberty and justice for all, not simply those who divide us into believing we are either a Red American or a Blue American.  The fact is that the largest block of eligible American voters are the NON VOTERS!  The sickening failure of the Red and Blue cannot get anymore clear than to know the largest segment of the potential voting population see no point at all in voting for a fully corrupt political process that has thrust one percent of the people into insane levels of power and wealth while the majority of us are unable to achieve a modest quality of life that at a minimum stays ahead of inflation.

I was inspired by "The Plaid Shirt Guy." I researched fabric and hat manufacturing and analyzed over 200 factories to finally have 5,000 hats made.  

The price will be whatever you are willing and able to pay. I take no salary or profits after the unit cost. Every penny over cost goes to Nonprofit organizations that are fighting the corruption and propaganda of the 0.1% who have built a vast network of corporations for the sole purpose of dividing the American people against one another so they can control every system we face for their financial benefit without question.

I help anyone understand the insanely and intentionally complex subject called Medicare. I also help VA and Tricare covered vets choose the right plans. What I learned has taught me how deceptive the insurance industry is and how they trap innocent people into making the worst decisions that of course make the most long-term profits for the insurance companies. I am only licensed to sell in Washington. Frankly speaking, when you sell the right plans, the commission is almost nothing. This is how they force the sellers to give up their souls to earn an income that can at least pay the bills.

I helped Social Entrepreneurs connect with resources in the Portland - Vancouver Metro area. This was not a job, it's something I enjoyed doing with my limited personal time in life. 

Imagine if only ten percent of the people posting complaints on the internet stopped complaining and joined forces with others who are actually trying to do something good; every economic class would immediately start enjoying a better overall quality of life.

Turn off the TV, stop falling for media propaganda, stop blaming others and start taking responsibility for creating the world, country, city, neighborhood, family, and self that you want to experience in this incredible, but all too short thing called life.

Delta is a major manufacturer of power electronics and a wide-variety of electronic devices. I spent half of my career with them. The experience of working with people in Asia and Europe was the best education of my life.

My role there over the years had included business development, strategic account management, product management, project management, trade show management, market research, and sales management.  

My long career in the power supply industry has taken me all over the world and has afforded me the opportunity to work with the some of the best power electronics engineers and tech business leaders on earth.

My specialty has been in custom power conversion, lithium-ion and lead acid battery charging systems for industrial vehicles including forklifts, automated guided vehicles, and robots; medical devices including the most advanced ultrasound machines; solar inverters and bi-directional DCDC for energy storage; computer systems from the desktop to the most powerful mainframes;  paper and 3D printers; aerospace and defense systems including military and commercial aircraft, ships, tanks, satellites, and even the space station.  

I had the pleasure of working with both tier one OEM's and highly funded startup companies. I enjoyed helping businesses grow and becoming a true trusted business partner for the people I had the pleasure of working with.

My greatest joy came in the final few years as I was deeply engaged in the development, business planning, and marketing of the new innovation of wireless battery charging for industrial vehicles and robots.

You can see me do an impromptu demo for a well-known magazine editor in another section of LinkedIn.   I was excited to share the work we achieved to that date.  Sadly, the investment and management of this area of business was not granted sufficient resources to grow.

Productivity was a great place to work until they were acquired and moved to NYC.  I was working with process improvement guru's around the USA. My job was managing the sales of training manuals, books, video tapes, software products, workshops, and consulting services. I was heavily immersed in Lean Thinking, Toyota Production System, Kanban, Mistake Proofing, 5S, Six-sigma, Black Belt, Visual Factory, Total Productive Maintenance, and Team Building.

I was part of the executive team that directed the development of new products and the company business strategy. My role was involved in implementing the integrated sales, marketing, and customer service strategy, tactics, and operational activities to achieve our corporate goals.

I was the co-founder and first on-air station manager of Portland State University's radio station KPSU. 

My job was to take the students dream of having a college radio station on campus and transforming that dream into a fully functional radio station. The students, staff, and faculty were very supportive of the project and I was able to gather and organize over 200 motivated volunteers to assist in all aspects of planning, funding, and building a station on campus and contracting with Portland Public Schools to lease the use of their licensed transmitter located at Benson High School.

KPSU remains a vibrant organization having trained thousands of students and local community members in all aspects of radio broadcasting.  Needless to say, I am very proud to see how KPSU has developed around the same guidelines and organization we designed so many years ago.  

They no longer broadcast on the airwaves and are now exclusively found online.  They reach a global audience of those who love free form college radio entertainment.

I did produce my own show briefly. The show name was Talkback with Tony. I had two callers call in to discuss whatever topic I pulled from the local Newspaper. One would be right-wing and the other left-wing. I would moderate, but let them do most of the talking. It was always a great learning experience to hear how most people are literally clueless parrots and some are incredibly well-read.

I called on major aerospace and avionics accounts on the east coast. They were and still are an innovative niche player in power electronics for aircraft.  I manned a booth at the Paris Air Show and had the opportunity to speak for the company to an audience of 3,000 aircraft owners and operators at a major trade show.

TRW Electronics Components Group was "divested" in 1985 and all 3,000 employees were laid-off. I decided to start my own business at the age of twenty-seven with a family to support.

We did all kinds of interesting electronics repair service contracts for companies large and small.  Bob Carver once said if he needed his amp fixed he would have me do it.  We even had Les Paul bring in his gadgets and he was also into CB radio.

We expanded and opened a second location to sell Amateur Radio, CB, and commercial two-way radio equipment. I always loved ham radio and there were literally no radio stores in NJ at that time.  

I sold the business and we moved to the west coast to be near my wife's family.

TRW once owned a dozen or more electronics manufacturing companies which were all located in the United States of America.   I sold VLSI chips from CA, Optocouplers from Texas, IRC Resistors from NC; Capacitors from Ogallala, Nebraska; Cinch Jones Connectors form IL, Power, RF and Microwave Semiconductors; we even made Power Transformers in the heart of New York City!

I covered the NY and NJ Metropolitan area and I must say it was interesting to work with all the Military Contractors such as ITT Defense, ITT Avionics, Singer Kearfott, and Bendix .

I managed the NY / NJ Territory selling power supplies to aerospace and military contractors as well as directly to the military. In my final months I was moved by the management in California to the SE territory covering Delaware to Florida. 

The Fort Lee office was a small friendly group and we worked well together. The manager George Kennedy was a good man and I enjoyed working for him.  TRW made me an offer I couldn't refuse and while Abbott did fly in a top manager to try and retain me, I made my decision and didn't look back.

Abbott was eventually was sold and the Fort Lee offices closed.

I am highly successful in sales management, business development and product management. I have managed the sales and marketing processes for a wide-variety of smart hardware and software products and services which require both technical and interpersonal skills to be successful. I have developed hundreds of millions in new business in my career.

If you have a technical product to sell, I can sell it as well as manage and train others to do the same.  Most of my career has been in power electronics, power supplies, solar and battery charging systems for every imaginable application. I have worked with the largest companies in the business of producing industrial electric vehicles, medical devices, industrial automation systems, data centers, and semiconductors. I listen to what clients want, utilize a consultative win-win approach, and I understand how to avoid common mistakes and traps others with less experience fall into.  

My personal experience covers a broad set of technical and commercial positions including: National and Regional Sales Manager, Test Department Manager, Design Engineer, Program Manager, Sales Engineer, Applications Engineer, and President of a start-up that I founded and successfully sold. 

I have worked on the factory floor, in the engineering lab, behind the desk in an office and from my home. In the field, I have covered assignments in Asia, Europe, and North America.  

My only interest at this stage of my career is to apply my knowledge and experience to present the best overall value proposition possible for my employer to not only win new business, but to win the trust of the customer for the long-term.

I know how to find the key decision makers in any size firm and present what they need to move forward. I manage the language, cultural, and time zone differences of Asia and Europe every day.  Most of my work is in hardware and software development, the manufacturing process, logistics, contract negotiating, marketing, sales presentation, and most importantly closing new business. I both manage accounts and motivate, educate and support regional sales managers and representatives so they can achieve their goals. 

Locally, I am a backer of Social Enterprises and good causes. I also organize a large and successful Meetup group for entrepreneurs.
