In 2022, after working as a consultant for big pharma and having managerial roles in biotech startups, I decided to go all-in on building Qualtivate. 

Qualtivate is a tech-forward consultancy helping early-stage life science companies with QMS, GxP compliance, computer system validation, digital transformation, and data management projects.

Aside from consulting, I love sharing content about quality, consulting, entrepreneurship, and even the occasional meme! My online community has grown like crazy, and the business has too—big thanks to everyone who’s been along for the ride.🙏💙

Why consulting?
Because I get a kick out of building processes and implementing or enhancing systems, working closely with innovative IT and QA leaders. Every new project brings a unique challenge that I find super satisfying to solve for our clients.

My approach to consulting is pretty straightforward. I give my clients three options: 

1) do nothing
2) take my plan and run with it or 
3) bring my team to get it DONE ✅

But that only successful people use.

It’s so simple. It’s so easy. And it doesn't even require any particular expertise or special course.

What is it?

𝗥𝗲𝗳𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻.

It literally requires only that we pay attention. And pause every now and then.

And our world has been designed so that less and less, we pay attention. Less and less we pause. Less and less we reflect.

Successful people pause. Successful people reflect.
 
A huge part of being a high-level athlete (I only know this from my daughter, not from my own experiences, duh) is to review videos. Of yourself. That’s a form of reflection.

A huge part of being a successful leader is to meet with a coach or mentor. That’s about pausing and reflecting.
 
A huge part of being a writer is going for a walk. That’s about pausing and reflecting.

A huge part of having a successful business comes from management review. That’s about pausing and reflecting.

Here’s how I see it:

💎 Change (improvement, progress, whatever you want to call it) comes from action. 

💎 Action comes from insight.

(yes, you might need to put a plan in place and all of that, but you won’t be able to zero in on any goals and create a plan if you don’t first have the insight.)

Stay with me…

💎 Insight comes from reflection. From taking stock. Reviewing. 

From stopping for a second and saying “What’s going well? What’s not? What’s in the way? What needs to change? What keeps repeating? What feels effortless? What feels painful?”

But we don’t stop. 

We don’t take stock. 

We’re stuck in a frenzy of doing and producing and consuming. As individuals and as businesses.

And we’re running ourselves ragged. We've become burned out. 

We’re forgetting who we are and what we like and why we are doing what we’re doing. 

We can’t even think anymore. 

That’s the way it’s designed. We aren’t supposed to think. We’re supposed to just keep clicking and buying and mindlessly consuming. 

What if we didn’t buy into this?

What if we paused?

Pause. Turn everything off. 

Reflect. 

What if it changes everything? 

For you. For your career. For your business.
