Scaled the law firm's development team from 3 to 8 members, including globally distributed junior and senior engineers. Introduced Agile/Scrum while operating as a hands-on leader to drive the technical vision, strategy, and roadmap for the development of distributed systems. Partnered with 3rd party vendors and cross functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives, increase efficiency, and enhance software quality. Established coding standards and implemented Test Driven Development (TDD), design patterns, and SOLID programming principles to ensure high-quality software delivery. Oversaw and contributed to the coding and development of software solutions to ensure timely deliveries.

Led a team of 3 junior engineers while collaborating with cross-functional teams (product, UX, quality assurance, and operations) to define requirements, prioritize features, and deliver high-quality software solutions. Effectively conveyed complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. SAIC

I was part of a large team developing and supporting a large-scale application for the government which tracks operations (military and civilian) around the world (ASP.NET 4.0, jQuery, XML, SQL, HTML5). I also obtained Secret Security Clearance for this position. I was placed into several positions of responsibility and leadership including:
•	Scrum Master for my team
•	Ensured Code Reviews and Unit Testing (NUnit / NCrunch) was performed
•	Responsible for making all decisions concerning the UI (Standards, Best Practices, User Experience, etc…)
•	Responsible for coordinating and leading all meetings with the government which are UI related
•	Responsible for leading all meetings when the Project manager and Lead Architect are out

Scripps Health

Led and mentored a team of 6 developers and UX/UI designers while overseeing the web development process and site architecture for one of San Diego’s largest healthcare providers. Coached the team to make sound decisions to drive agility, scale operations, and support user experience. Drove strategic direction for company website and content management system (CMS) to improve user experience with navigation menus. 


Key Achievements:
Developed a client portal for surgeons that reduced scheduling errors and conflicts by 50%.
Created an online benefits management system, saving over $100k annually and reducing processing time from 6 weeks to 3 days.
