I am currently honored to serve as Director of Engineering at DigitalOcean, where I lead the engineering team behind the DigitalOcean Kubernetes (DOKS) product. In my role I collaborate with Product Managers, Sales Leadership, Engineers, Designers, Customer Service Managers, and the Support Team. Together, we are dedicated to developing and supporting DOKS, ensuring that it not only stays at the forefront of technology but also delivers an unparalleled customer experience.

In this capacity, my focus is on fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence. My mission is to steer our engineering efforts towards creating solutions that are not just technologically advanced but are also intuitive and customer-centric. Our team reviewed invention submissions, and if accepted, we designed and developed the ideas into viable products.  Oversaw the legal and patenting efforts, as well as, FDA approval.  Worked to educate co-workers on the Mercy Invent program, and worked closely with physicians and co-workers on their ideas.

The App Pros, LLC

Founder and CEO of The App Pros, LLC.  Grew the company year over year.  Managed the day-to-day business operations and long-range strategy of the company.  Responsible for sales and marketing activities.  As a Xamarin Authorized Consulting Partner, The App Pros develops, markets and sells mobile apps for a variety of devices such as iPhone/iPad and Android phones and tablets, develops custom software, and provides consulting services.  I was responsible for all sales and architecting the software solutions.  The company was selected as a finalist for the Chamber of Commerce’s 2014 small business of the year award.

In January 2015, we were bought out by one of our customers, American Products, LLC. The App Pros was merged with two others companies, DustShield which manufactures plastic computer enclosures, and Phoenix Kiosk which manufactures interactive kiosks.  The three companies were combined to form Interactive Dynamics with the mission of enabling entrepreneurial-minded leaders to transform their ideas into innovative technology solutions.  As president of Interactive Dynamics, I set the vision and direction of the company and oversee all operations. In 2016, Interactive Dynamics was honored to win the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce’s annual Small Business Award.

Duck Creek Technologies

Direct oversight of the Human Resources, Information Technologies, Information Systems, Duck Creek University (training business), and Facilities Management departments.  Participated on the Senior Leadership Team (executive management team). Managed a comprehensive overhaul of the salary administration program including revising the salary structure, audits of independent contractors and FLSA status, merit raises, bonuses, recognition programs, stock options, etc. Oversaw the integration (including HR policies, IT/IS practices, etc.) of our London office making the company a global organization. Negotiated favorable agreements with outside placement firms. Improved the automated systems of the HR department by expanding our system to include an applicant tracking module. Lead Duck Creek University to be a profitable business unit. Directed the creation of a comprehensive business continuity plan. Planned for facilities growth.
