Upon my return to Israel, I created 18, my signature project, that brought combined my passion for branding and content with my equal passion for promoting Israel.
18 was an ambitious publishing project that while short-lived left an unmistakeable imprint on Israeli advocacy and how Israel seeks to effectively communicate its message of creative energy and optimism. The magazine was distributed by the Israeli MFA, as well as numerous chambers of commerce as well as through book stores, top hotels and other strategic points of interest.
Designed together with David Haliva, the magazine brought a unique mix of smart design and intelligent editorial that featured a top-shelf roster of contributors.

Ultimately, when you break it down, I am a storyteller and a problem solver. The kind that companies and organizations rely on for their brand DNA,  culture and long-lasting reputation.

I create harmony between internal messaging, external sales, marketing and the product / service itself, bridging between design, content and technology -- seeing the bigger picture and understanding how these elements interact and create value and synergy.

I bring over 15 years of International experience across multiple sectors as a strategist, storyteller and creative director; helping shape the unique way business communicates, defining USP's and products.

You hate your homepage because you know it isn’t the problem.
It's just the symptom of something much deeper.

You might not be able to quite put your finger on it, but you know deep down it just doesn't feel right. 

You hate it because it's a mirror.
And you don't like what's staring back at you.

I was reminded of that joke recently while reviewing a founder’s homepage.

Because sometimes a homepage isn’t just “not perfect.”
It’s a quiet signal you’re headed completely off course. It's a quiet signal that you're telling the wrong story, to the wrong audience, in the wrong direction.

And sometimes the fix isn’t even that dramatic.
It’s not a full rebrand, a six-month project, or a complete teardown.
It’s a small but strategic turn: clearer language, sharper intention, and messaging that actually leads people where you want them to go.

A slight pivot beats a 25,000 km detour every time.
So if you’re staring at your homepage and something feels off, don't ignore it.

But people don’t think in features. They think in outcomes.
They only ask one question.
 “Will this make my life better?”

When you lead with features, you lose the one thing that actually persuades: 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐱𝐭.

How it fits into their world.
How it solves their pain.
How it can change their life.

And if that's not enough, don't forget the other side of human nature...

We're not stupid, but we are wired for the familiar.
So, even if the alternatives out there are clunky or missing half the innovation you’ve built, they’re already ‘good enough.’
They work, and they don't require any change,  effort or risk.

To make someone leave what’s familiar, you need more than “better.”
You need emotional gravity.
You need a story that gives them a reason to believe; strong enough to overcome inertia.

𝐅𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐬 𝐜𝐚𝐧’𝐭 𝐝𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭.

Meaning can.
Relevance can.
Identity can.
Your story can.

But to tell that kind of story, you need to pull your head out of your features and get into the head of your customer.

𝐈𝐟 𝐧𝐨𝐭, 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲'𝐥𝐥 𝐬𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐲 𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐤 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞.

And if you can't do that, if it doesn't come naturally, you can always find someone who doesn't just tell stories, but actually discovers what makes your customers tick on a deeper, more emotional level and create the kind of story that not only sets you apart, but that truly connects with their needs, pains and dreams.

I was at a party last week and it was refreshing to meet so many uninspiring people all gathered together. After a drink or two it reminded me that while ChatGPT can polish any random thought into an 'inspiring' thought leadership piece, or turn a mumbled concept into a sharp deck, it still can’t turn people (or businesses) into something they’re not.

This got me thinking about the true value of doing strategy and telling meaningful stories for clients that care. The words themselves aren’t the actual deliverable. It’s their frequency and energy that matters. It’s how deep they penetrate so when they’re at a party, they have the ability to excite the people around them, and not just sound like the generic version of themselves.

In our latest episode of Unfounded, Ofir Michaeli and I host Assaf Guery, a tech and creative entrepreneur turned photographer. Having founded two highly successful agencies as well as being a co-founder of Varo Bank, Guery helps us dive head first into the nuances of observation. Is it a luxury or a necessity? 

In his experience, the strategic process, whether it's brand or business, isn’t just invaluable for defining the company’s identity. It’s one of the very few moments where the leadership team gets to exit survival mode and lean back and rethink the bigger picture.

This process becomes a rare pause.
A moment to reconnect; a chance to consider change, purpose and relevance in a profound way.

For those stuck putting out fires, chasing the next sprint, or solving the immediate task at hand, this might feel like a luxury, because time is the one thing they don’t have.

But when you’re navigating constant change (and who isn’t?), this “luxury” quickly becomes a necessity.

I used to wonder how religious scholars could dedicate their entire lives to studying one book. How could they read it again and again, yet still find new meaning every day.

For years, I couldn’t understand that kind of devotion.
But lately, I’ve realized that I'm kind of the same. 

Every day, I’m thinking about new ways to say the same thing.
To understand how people think, choose, and connect in a world that never stops changing.

While I'm constantly consuming endless content, from profound discussions to mindless freak shows on social media, my focus, while not sacred, is constant.  It's always on the human condition.

The context keeps shifting: technology evolves, culture transforms, values realign. 𝐁𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐚𝐦𝐞.

That’s what makes it endlessly fascinating, and why every day there’s a new angle to explore. Every day I wake up asking what remains the same in this ever-changing mad mad world...

I keep wondering how can an age-old story still determine the outcome of a cutting-edge technology.

While the great innovators are focused on the NEW, the communicators and strategists like us need to understand that it isn't always about saying something new, it’s about discovering what’s still true, even as everything changes.

Fear, hope, envy, greed, love, belonging; the timeless motivations behind the human condition; behind every decision, brand, and behavior are still the greatest drivers of change. The product and circumstance might change, but the motivators remain the same.

In that regard, we're much closer to philosophers and religious scholars than we are to anything else. We're even much closer to them than we would like to think about ourselves.

But it's exactly this quality that makes us so valuable in today's world that's constantly rushing forward without a moment to pause and think what it's all about.
