I had the "perfect" morning routine.


60 minutes.
Every day.
Non-negotiable.

Until I realized:

It was killing me.

See, when I woke up late, I had two choices:
1. Do my full 60-minute routine
2. Do nothing

Guess which one I picked?

Nothing.
Every time.

Because if I couldn't be perfect, why even try?

Then I built a safety net:

Can't do 20 min stretching? → 5 min
Can't meditate 20 min? → 5 min breathing  
Can't read 20 min? → 5 min

My backup routine.

We're programming our bodies like spreadsheets.

-Energy drinks to push through.
-Melatonin to shut down.

I spent years forcing my body to meet my career's demands.

2 years ago I’d call you crazy if you told me I’d:

- Building a life that l love
- Getting married with 26
- Building f*cking 2 businesses
- Becoming a performance coach
- I could make a change in society
- Meeting people from 27+ countries
- Going on a business trip to New York
- being a manager with my own team of 5

TBH 2 years ago I still struggled with burnout
Having my 9-5 and working 14 hour days
→ thinking thats what life should be like
→ telling myself its just “a PHASE”

October 2024 I started going public
→ 0 idea how to create
→ 0 idea how to bring value online
→ having a HUGE aversion for DMs and Content

→ BUT with the big vision to create a movement
Healthy, sustainable, family friendly success

Since then my life did a 360:
- Building a family with my WIFE
- Being invited to podcast and events
- No hair loss anymore and just a little grey
- Working 23+ clients from all around the world
- People reaching out to level up through my work

I disappeared for 4 days. 

Here’s why you should too!

Sometimes stepping back is your best move.

Last week, I got hit with the kind of news 
every leader/employee dreads:

 - My 9-5 may have zero projects next year
 - Short-term contracts only
 - Unemployment on the table

Instantly, my brain went into overdrive:
- What happens to my team?
- How does my future look like?
- How do we fix this?

I worked 13-hour days
-> emergency mode

Of course it lead to: 
- Brain fog
- restlessness
- zero clarity.

The more I tried to “work through it,” 
the worse my thinking got.

I was there for my team physically, 
but mentally I was just firefighting.

Here’s a fact: 
-> You can’t lead well when you’re 
running on exhaustion/emotion/fear.

Every founder, manager, and high-performer
I coach faces this.
(we all face it through our life) 

The difference isn’t who hustles hardest
-> IT'S WHO STEPS BACK

I took 4 days off to reset.
No “productivity hacks.”

Just space to: 
- breathe
- reflect
- make a real plan
- talk to my wife and friends 

To remind me: 
-> When the world feels out of control,
your only job is to control your state.

Step back, reset, and THEN act.

Every founder I’ve worked with who 
learned this skill made better decisions, 
led their team through chaos, 
and protected their own health.

If you’re always in emergency mode, 
try stepping back - just for a day.

This one belief is quietly costing you $$$.

And it’s taking your family/health/business down with it.

Few weeks back I spoke with a founder:
- 3 kids
- 70‑hour weeks
- Finishing “the rest” on weekends
- Exhausted, depressed, running on high stress 24/7
On paper, he was doing great.

→ Inside, he felt like he was failing everyone.

At some point he said the one thing crushing him out loud:
“In the end, everything really must rest on my shoulders - 
the business, the team, my family.”

This one belief was running him 23 years.
Since he became a father first time.

What he couldn't know was this belief
reprogramed his brain and identity.

→ My worth = what I produce and earn

- Your nervous system gets stuck in permanent survival mode
- Your brain literally rewires for hyper‑vigilance (hello, 2am overthinking)
- You never feel safe enough to slow down, even when your body is screaming for it

This isn’t just mindset or missing bubble baths.
It’s neuroplasticity in the wrong direction.

The good news:
The brain that wired itself into this can wire itself out of it.

Here is how we solved it (based on the 3Rs):

1. Awareness:
Notice when you catch yourself thinking
“I have to do it all, or it won’t get done right.” 
Don’t judge it, just observe.

2. Challenge:
Ask yourself, is this belief 100% true?
Who else can handle this?
What if I trusted others?

3. Small Experiment:
Choose one simple task to delegate or postpone today.
Notice your body’s reaction without trying to fix it immediately.

4. Resource Building:
Anchor feelings of trust, calm, and safety.
Practice breathing or visualization to 
strengthen these positive emotions.

5. Reinforcement:
Repeat the small step daily, gradually expanding
the space where you stop “holding everything together.”

+ What was left was a founder finally able to breathe again
+ Weekends with the family and pets
+ A team that had a leader again
+ Stress down from 10 to 4
+ 8 hours saved in a week

This is the kind of inner OS work I do with 6‑figure founders:
we find the beliefs running their calendar and stress,
then use neuroscience and identity work
to rewire them for a life that doesn’t 
burn their brain or their family.

I used to say it too.
For months. Even years.

On the outside, it looked like momentum.
I told you all about the numbers and cars.
On the inside, it was slow-motion self-destruction.

So let’s make this simple.

Answer these 3 questions in the next 30 seconds.
No overthinking.
Just yes or no.

1. If you vanished for 30 days, would your business survive or would you be terrified to find out?

2. Do your partner and kids get a present, calm version of you or the drained, distracted one who’s “still at work” in his head?

3. How often do you feel restless, foggy, or exhausted and still tell yourself “it’s just a busy phase, I’ll fix it later”?

If your honest answers are: 

1. “Yeah, I’d be terrified to leave for 30 days.”

2. “My family gets the drained, distracted version of me.”

3. “I feel restless and exhausted way more often than I admit and I keep telling myself it’s just a phase.”

Then you don’t have a “busy phase.”
You have a problem.

Because that usually means:
- You’re the bottleneck in your own company
- Your self-worth is tied to how much you produce
- You don’t trust your systems or your team enough to let go
- Your nervous system doesn’t know how to switch off anymore

And here’s the myth most guys still believe:
“I’ll fix this once I hit next revenue milestone.”

No, you won’t.

If you don’t change how you work and how you think,
more money just gives you:
-> Bigger problems
-> Bigger pressure
-> Bigger expectations

You don’t grow out of this.
You grow deeper into it.

I’ve seen this pattern in myself and in the men I work with.
The ones who get brutally honest first:

+ “My business depends too much on me.”
+ “My family gets my leftovers.”
+ “My brain is never really off.”

If that’s you, this isn’t about hustling harder.

It’s about finally admitting your current way of working
isn’t sustainable.

And that’s not weakness.

P.S.: Which one hit you hardest - 1, 2, or 3?

I was an alcohol addict.

For years, thanks to stress.

TBH drinking is pretty normal in Germany.

But for me, it was different.
I didn’t drink to party.

I drank to forget my:
- inner emptiness
- loneliness
- the stress of the day

Even if it was just 2 or 3 glasses,
it got worse.

I was always chasing that "numb feeling"
just wanting to feel soft, like a marshmallow.

In the end, I needed alcohol:

-> to fall asleep,
-> to calm down
-> to just relax for a while.

My thoughts back then:
- “Maybe these fears and worries will finally turn off.”
- “Maybe I won’t feel so restless.”
- “Maybe I’ll feel numb, not lonely.”
- “Maybe this whole weight will finally lift.”

Now Christmas is coming - 
and for a lot of us, 2-3 drinks feels “normal.”

But think about it:
do you drink because you love the taste?
or 
because you want to shut off and relax for a bit?

We all know the classic stress symptoms,

- restlessness
- exhaustion
- tiredness

but we often forget how much they shape our habits.

For me, it cost my health.
needing rehab and therapy.

I had to learn real methods to calm down,
to rest and recharge
to align my mind and body
without putting toxins in my system.

Because in the end, every sip of alcohol is a nerve toxin.

2025 - 
- I feel better than ever.
- I take care of my health.
- I party and dance - no alcohol needed.

It took real work to get here. But every day, I choose presence over numbness, 
and my business and life finally feel like they belong to me.

Tl;dr

Stress doesn’t just steal your time.

It can steal your habits, your health, and your joy.

If you’re reaching for that drink to “just relax,”
ask yourself what you really need.
