Not because mindset is fluffy — but because it’s foundational.

You cannot build clarity, trust, or accountability on top of exhaustion, fear, or cynicism and expect it to hold.

• What would make this easier to own?

We are deep into the planning for the 2026 Bravo Bravery Retreat and reflecting on the importance of the connections we make. 

This picture around a fire with an incredible group of leaders after a full day of working through goals, priorities, challenges, and what comes next was precious. It was during the fire-pit talk that we sipped wine and chatted about a women who was struggling with family dreams not happening, a woman who was sharing about her daughter’s incredible college accomplishments, and a woman who had these incredible guitar skills that made the chat around the fire even more magical. 

We talked about real things…
What was keeping them up at night.
Where they felt stretched too thin.
What they were worried might not work.
What they needed from each other but hadn’t said out loud.

THIS WAS THE MAGIC! This was the unplanned, raw CONNECTION CONVERSATIONS that don’t happen on zoom or in the office. 

There was laughter. There were hard truths. There were moments of silence that said more than words.

No slides. No titles. No hierarchy.
Just humans sitting in a circle, being honest.

Listen, most organizations don’t struggle from a lack of strategy.
They struggle from a lack of connection.

You can build a brilliant plan in a conference room, but plans don’t execute themselves. People do. And people perform best when they trust each other, understand each other, and feel safe enough to be real.

Around that fire, walls came down.
Misunderstandings softened.
Respect deepened.
Perspective shifted.

By the time everyone went to bed, they were not just a group with incredible plans. They were ready to carry it forward while supporting each other.

I see this over and over again, whether I am working with corporate leadership teams or a circle of women building brave businesses.

When people feel seen, heard, and connected:

Communication improves.
Decisions get clearer.
Accountability strengthens.
Execution accelerates.

The real competitive advantage is not another strategic framework.

It is people who believe in each other enough to do hard things together.

That is why I create these experiences.
Not just to help organizations plan… but to help their people align in a way that makes the plan possible.

Because strategy builds plans.
Connection builds results.
