Learning Out Loud: A Year of Purpose, People, and Progress

One year ago, I joined Cotality—and it felt like everything I’d worked for had finally aligned.

But the journey here wasn’t linear. It was layered, intense, and deeply personal.

From the start, I was in motion. As a full-time student working full-time, I learned to operate under pressure, adapt quickly, and stay grounded in values—even when the pace was relentless. I moved across cities, states, and continents, always searching for where I could grow, contribute, and belong.

Over two decades, I built a career rooted in people—sales, communications, leadership. I learned how to read between the lines, build trust, and lead with empathy. My biggest responsibilities were work-related: caring deeply for those around me through loyalty, hard work, and commitment.

Then came the pandemic. It tested everything I knew about resilience, strategy, and human connection.

That’s when I pivoted—into operations, into data, and into the world of systems thinking.

Working on ground braking Meta projects, I discovered the power of structured logic and scalable systems. I worked on digital payments, trust and safety, product management, and workflow optimization. I fell in love with data—not just as numbers, but as a language of insight, integrity, and impact.

So I went back to school. At UT Austin’s McCombs School of Business, I immersed myself in Data Science and Machine Learning. I learned to think algorithmically, model uncertainty, and extract meaning from complexity.

And now, at Cotality, I’m in my element.

Here, I work at the intersection of data, strategy, and human-centered design. I monitor and optimize data processing pipelines, conduct quality control analysis, and contribute to the refinement of CMAS workflows. I build systems that scale, investigate anomalies, and collaborate across teams to ensure our tools are not only functional—but intelligent, secure, and future-ready.

Every dataset tells a story. Every workflow is an opportunity to improve. Every challenge is a chance to learn.

This year has been about more than just progress—it’s been about purpose. About showing up with curiosity, contributing with clarity, and staying committed to the mission. I’ve never felt more connected to the work I do or the people I do it with.

To everyone navigating change, embracing complexity, and learning out loud: keep going. The future is built by those who stay curious, stay grounded, and keep showing up.
