My particular focus was internal and external training and development. As a district manager for Vector Marketing, I had the opportunity to run all aspects of a half a million dollar a year sales company.  From P&L budgeting to marketing, business planning to training, I did it all.  During my career there I trained and coached over 1,500 sales representatives, and spoke in front of groups from 5-500 over 20 hours every week.  It gave me the opportunity to hone my coaching and speaking skills on a massive scale.

I was one of the college kids selling Cutco knives in people's homes to help put myself through school.  I would eventually do thousands of presentations (strictly through referral) at kitchen tables around Chicagoland, selling almost a quarter of a million dollars in cutlery - becoming one of their top salespeople and eventually a National Top 10 scholarsip winner.   It was an amazing opportunity for a young professional, and I learned the value of a product you can stand behind, a solid sales presentation, and engaging with your customers with questions to find the needs you can solve.

Founded in Amsterdam in 2013, they now work with many of the world's most prominent investors, entrepreneurs and government organizations to provide transparency, analysis and insights on venture capital activity. Its mission is to accelerate entrepreneurship & innovation through data for governments, corporates, VCs and founders. 

Dealroom raised a Seed round of €2.75M in February 2020 and a €6M A round in December 2021. Although I was only part of the organization for a short time during a pandemic, I'm proud of having been part of that journey and excited to see how far they go.

Not a guru, not a coach, not a rockstar. Also not ex-Google or ex-BCG. Come on, people.

I lead the global Digital / Social Selling and LinkedIn Sales Navigator programs at Philips and I occasionally post something that may or may not be mildly interesting. Topics can vary from hashtags in my headline to healthtech, ramen, coffee, old British comedy shows or anything else that strikes my fancy at any given point in time.

I grew up in Algiers, Paris and Helsinki and studied in Turku and Osaka. Currently working in Amsterdam after stints in Turku, Helsinki and Tokyo. I have approximate knowledge of many things. And yes, I do quote Adventure Time despite never having watched the show.
