Listening to podcasts whilst sitting on a train commuting to work every day was one of the highlights of my day. A chance to relax, laugh with and learn from others. Between Tracks' origins occurred when I decided to take the leap and use my music production skills in a different direction. To get involved behind the scenes and start producing podcasts. My first show turned my commute into an opportunity to be on the inside, producing the medium I had grown to love, rather than just listening from the outside. Working on the train I was a podcast producer between tracks.

Since then I have built the company up to be more than a side gig on the train. I have now been involved in the launches and productions of shows in the UK, USA and Europe. I am hugely proud of the fact I am part of the process of now producing podcasts for others to relax, laugh and learn from, just like I still do. Facilitating you to create the show you envisaged and making the process as easy as possible for you is my mission. It’s you, your voice, and us between tracks.

Photoshop's new AI remove tool is pretty amazing

But what happens when you remove your own head?

I feel rather disturbed that this might actually be what the voice inside my head looks like!!

I had to remove some glasses glare from a set of photos I was sent to use on new podcast artwork designs, which it did rather well, but I had to test what it could do......and I slightly wish I hadn't.

Me 10 years ago: frantically learning iMovie

Me today: Producing videos for LinkedIn legends like Heather Murray!

When I first started in podcasts I was an audio guy through and through.

I'd never produced a video in my life....

But the industry was changing, and I had to learn fast on the free software I had access to, as I had no budget.

Fast forward to now and many, many long nights of figuring video out - yes I still produce audio, but video has become what I am know for.

And I love the creativity of it.

Now we produce more than just podcasts.

Heather has built something frankly incredible in AI for Non-Techies, and over our time working together we have produced -

What are you thankful you believed in yourself and went for?

November was a good month

A lot of pitching, proposing, positioning paying off

This year hasn't been easy for many, many businesses and we've had our share of that but November was the month where things came together.

From completing audiobooks, to signing new a podcast launch & clients with already existing podcasts, as well as a brand starting their YouTube journey.

Things all came together.

And our tree planting continues!

We have now planted 1331 trees, with another 5 olive trees planted in Jenin to support Palestinian farmers.

If you had to pick 1 dish as your lifetime favourite what would it be?

For me: Lasagne (now a vegan one!)

But it's more than just the dish itself, it's the memories that come with it.

Growing up any time I had either a special event in my life or I was leaving home to go to uni, or travelling, my mum would ask - What do you want for your last dinner?

Lasagne - always.

It was family, it was memories, it was comfort.

And now my eldest is the same with our version of it. Every birthday - Lasagne.

Where leadership meets food. Leaders come on to join François Moscovici to share their thoughts on leadership but to also share the 1 dish they love the most.

But it doesn't stop there!

In part 2 of each episode François and his daughter Valentine go through how to make the dish with you, so you can bring the episode to life in your own kitchen.

It's a wonderful thing.

Hmmmmmmm, not sure about that one.

Honestly, the only one I have actually heard this year is The Louis Theroux Project, because I enjoy him and what he stands for.

But that's the thing about these charts, they're dominated by celebrity podcasts year after year, because they have the money, and they're household names who already have an audience.

But does that make them the best?

On a side note and although I haven't listened to any of his company's The Rest Is...podcasts I am delighted how well Gary Lineker is doing in his post BBC career in the podcast space. Again, I love and respect what he stands for, and how he speaks out on the issues that are important to him (that closely align with my own) and is an inspiration for me to keep doing so in my own small corner of the podcast world.

I hope one day I'll be able to shake his hand and tell him so.

What has been your top podcast of 2025?

Anyone else feel like they're on a hamster wheel that just can't quite go fast enough on the build up to Christmas?

So much to do, yet so many school Christmas events to go to...

The past couple of weeks I feel like I'm only coming up for air to do the school runs, take the kids to clubs (and work in the car while they are there), eat, sleep....repeat.

I am incredibly grateful we are this busy right now, but I know I'm neglecting other areas of my business to focus on client work - sorry Instagram, email marketing, commenting on other people's LinkedIn posts, that course I'm making.....

And it's not just business, life has taken a hit too, all that exercise I was doing? Full. Stop. 

But needs must and the hamster wheel is calling!
